    22/02/2016 Duration: 15min

Ready to relax but a bit too keyed up and feeling tight from work? This is a simple practice filled with seated neck releases and shoulder stretches. We'll go through a series of postures to help unwind tight necks, shoulders, and upper backs, and then develop a deeper awareness of breath. This will act as a practice to help calm you down, reverse the negative effects of computer posture, and potentially prepare you for seated meditation practice. (Gentle / 15 minutes)Go to https://www.paypal.me/AdamHocke to pay what you canMore yoga podcasts available at adamyogapodcast.comVideo classes available at mfml.co/adamHealth & Safety DisclaimerThe post Ep. 23 – Get ready to relax appeared first on Adam Hocke Yoga. • Ep. 21- Hands-off & Wrist-free Flow

    08/02/2016 Duration: 24min

No Chaturanga. No Plank. No Down Dog. But plenty of flow and movement. It can be enormously frustrating if you are having issues with your wrists or pain and want to practice yoga. However, you can still flow and move through a slightly different type of practice. Here is a short practice to keep you moving and keep you on your mat. Expects loads of rhythmic and breath-led movement, a few standing poses, and spinal oscillations to keep you feeling happy and healthy in your body. (All levels/25 minutes)Go to https://www.paypal.me/AdamHocke to pay what you canMore yoga podcasts available at adamyogapodcast.comVideo classes available at mfml.co/adamHealth & Safety DisclaimerThe post Ep. 21- Hands-off & Wrist-free Flow appeared first on Adam Hocke Yoga. • Ep. 20 – Yoga Calf Stretches

    01/02/2016 Duration: 08min

Yoga Calf StretchesThrough about four quick yoga calf stretches and lower leg releases, prep for your yoga practice or get a little head-start on stretching your hamstrings and feeling empowered through your legs in standing postures. Calf muscles blend with the hamstrings and can play a major part in the openness of your entire leg. Additionally, feet and lower legs are crucial in building up from the ground in standing postures, so we should bring them attention in our warm-ups and throughout practice. We'll use a mat, a narrow foam block, and a chair. If you don't have the foam block you can roll your mat or use a book. If you don't have a chair you can use, you can push against a wall. Breath Power Vinyasa Flow Podcast!Breathe, breathe, breathe! • Ep. 17 – How to do ujjayi breath

    11/01/2016 Duration: 05min

In five minutes, learn how to do ujjayi breath and apply it to a half sun-salutation. So often, people struggle with or forget about the breath in a vinyasa class. So often, people over-do ujjayi and strain themselves into a Darth Vader fury. Return to basics and work with a simple technique to initiate the breath and successfully use it in flow. Efficient use of breath is key to endurance in a strong flow class as well as the ticket to balancing mental and physical energy so you leave the class feeling balanced rather than frazzled and exhausted. Additionally, the rhythm and sound of ujjayi breath lulls you into a meditative trance that helps you deepen your experience of flow. 21/12/2015 Duration: 27min

This is a practice for when anxiety is high and you need to get out of the head. We first acknowledge our state of anxiety and stress with kindness and then use a practice that takes you right into flow and physicality to bring your attention to the reality of the present moment. Finally, we slow down and learn to be with what is through some forward folds and side stretches. Use this when your mind is buzzing and you're anxious, neurotic, or just generally stressed out or pissed off. Let yoga bring you back from the edge. • Ep. 13 - Gotta Split Flow

    07/12/2015 Duration: 01h04min

We take our time moving slow and steadily towards hanumanasana, the splits, in this one hour flow practice. Expect a lot of lunges, detailed alignment, and patient persistence towards our big peak pose. Don't worry if you think you can't do split, that's exactly why we practice it – so we can find ways of being calm and still in challenge. We'll use lots of props to make sure you are fully supported. Have a narrow foam block, a yoga brick, and a strap. You can easily substitute a firmly folded blanket for the narrow block and use a bolster or cushion for your support in hanumanasana and the opening stretches. Enjoy!
