Yes this is the day that we remember Pearl Harbor. And today we will have stories and remember it even though it now goes back so I'm 82 years and there are not many survivors of Pearl Harbor that are left today. He is long past and he is one of my best mentors though I never met him in person and he never met me. He didn't even know about me... When it comes to being a radio broadcaster and somebody who is a master at personal development and teaching and coaching people about how to be successful in life, he was one of the best and I learned a great deal from him. And he has been dead for over 30 years but people are still being inspired and learning from him including me. And after this 20 minute radio program he may even have inspired and helped you learn things about life and business that you didn't know before. Again this is a blast from the past but it is his current for today and tomorrow just as it was yesterday. Today's world needs people who are very good at what they do, in fact world class in both their work and in the teaching and mentoring of others. So we are taking the lessons learned a few years ago in the book that was repaired a few years ago and now we're looking for people who truly want to rewrite the book and to turn it into a world-class program that will encourage business leaders to become world-class business mentors teachers storytellers and most of all care for others who are younger or less fortunate to become all they can be. I can guarantee you that most people don't really understand all that goes into Christmas and even many of those who celebrate the festival of lights, Hanukkah don't really know the story behind the celebration and the Menorah candleholder ... Let's start with Christmas and the story is that we were all lost in walking in darkness and didn't know what to do and we're being held captive, indeed we are hostages... And it doesn't seem that we will ever be rescued. And isn't it ironically appropriate that right now the story of seeking to rescue hostages is a part of the daily news...  And instead of celebrating the good news of peace on earth goodwill to men and women we know that that is a hope in a dream because it certainly isn't a reality.  Yes indeed if we're going to have peace on earth and goodwill we need someone to come and rescue us, to save us, to turn the lights back on.  .. Audio Only ... I am always looking for ways to think differently both positively and perhaps a bit cynically. And I am asking people smarter than me and in a different world than me in many ways to help me better understand with the new AI will be about so that we can better deal with it handle it and make sure that the common good of all is served by it ...and that is a challenge because most new things in technology tend to have a tendency to go bad unless brave and bold and powerful men and women step in and bend them back to the good. But the AI that I am talking about in today's presentation has nothing to do with that phenomenon but let me explain to you my new definition of what AI can mean in the present context of the messy and gone mad world we live in today. There is a new AI that is abounding and we must recognize it for what it is, take action where we can and increase our personal strength to live well in our world the best we can, and I'm going to suggest three ways you might be able to do that

 Last Friday I talked about trying to think about it as Bright Friday and maybe you thought of ways to take that to heart.  But let's face it there's a lot of darkness in the world today and so perhaps we need to think differently about what we might be doing right now. First of all did deal with the AI challenge and couldn't be they did not only will replace many of the great artists but maybe it will replace you too "the UR. factor."  I will challenge you to read the piece and you begin to think about it. But then an old old painting reminded me of the importance of a long-ago occupation which technology certainly put an end to ... Yes a blast from the past but in the recent past because I did this just as the Covid shut down was beginning. And it helped me to connect even more with my Jewish friends and the Jewish tradition in which they proclaim that having a shut down every week is very good for us and for the life we hope to live. Right now when there is so much anti-Jewish and anti-Israel thought and ideas being put out by thugs and idiots I wanted to renew the commitment to the tradition that we all should have. Many of us have heard the protesters and related people talk about from the river to the sea and of course what that means is that from the Jordan river to the Mediterranean sea Israel and all of the Jews should be wiped out. They try to deny that but that's what it means and so I have a new way of saying it ... From the river to the sea Israel will always be and the tradition of its people will be an example and a light to us all. These are my thoughts on my Sabbath eve shared again with you. Stan

To millions of people in North America and maybe even now around the world due to all of the cyber reach today is what is often times called Black Friday. Why in the world on the day after Thanksgiving would we want to be thinking about something black. Well we should not, and am I hoping to change things by now declaring this Friday to be Bright Friday ... Yes it was just a few days before the Thanksgiving vacation and I was sitting in the classroom waiting for the American history class to begin. And then all of a sudden the professor came running into the classroom put his books down and said, "Class dismissed, the President has been shot, pray for the president," And we all left the room and for the rest of the day we were transfixed by the growing tragedy, some thoughts and some stories about difficult times, even then.  Has anyone ever said that to you?  Have you ever said it to anybody?  What is your TY quotient?  How many times do you say thank you every day?  Why don't you try for 100! Here we go with a shocking headline which of course is a little bit of Clickbait but actually it's the introduction headline to a brilliant modern-day satire magazine. Satire is an old and often times very effective means of communicating some dissonance, displeasure or a way of getting people to think differently about an idea. And in the midst of the mess in the Middle East this headline was posted and I think there's something to it and I wanna tell you the story and then see if you can learn a little bit from it, and how you will also need to be better able to use exactly what this is. This podcast is a part of man's modern mass marketing performance media, and if you do not learn how to use it there's a good chance that in business and career things may not go as well for you as they could. Well it's been about one year since we heard about artificial intelligence AI and of course there's been a lot of hype and a lot of hope and we don't know for sure just exactly what it will do, but we do know some things and this was illustrated by what just happened to a number of voice actors right now in Hollywood. Also I was horrified by what happened in Israel on October 7 and I hear that what they did was even much worse than we might've imagined. Is real has to win that battle, it is truly existential, so I have a few thoughts about all of the protesters and the Gaza Fan gangs currently running around the country, And then a hopeful bit of thinking that through this all eventually we may take some time to take better care of our soul in these turbulent times, Thanks Stan

I wasn't going to do a program today until I remembered with help that this is the day that we celebrate the fall of the Berlin wall which was very central too much of the work that I was doing at that. In my life. Please let me tell you the story because I think it's an inspiring story and then perhaps let me challenge you as a coach and mentor to start praying and playing and planning and how you're gonna bring down the walls in your own life that are holding you back holding you down and making you afraid. And oh oh, could it be that that expensive EV might turn out to be just another personal vanity project in your life? It's Friday and the world continues to be in a mess and all over we find people doing things and leadership folks saying and doing things where you just shake your head. Indeed, maybe we are seeing the light go out in parts of our world and they might be out for a long time and could it be that this is a time for you to consider being a light in the night in someway, and there is a way for you to give your voice to others in the midst of the noise and confusion and lies all around us. It is November 1, which is often celebrated as All Saints Day in which we give thanks for those people in the past who may have a blessed and enriched our lives, and of course to remind us all of our mortality. Well of course there is a lot of death and destruction taking place in our world today and could it be that as the ancient wisdom used to say... Sometimes there is a time for peace and yet sometime there might be a time for WAR ... And that does not mean skirmishes or conflicts or operations or an occasional strike of violence, but indeed a time for WAR. Well if it is then things will be quite different in many ways for us and I'm simply reminding myself and challenging myself to understand that I might be called to greater courage confidence, and even more humility and kindness if I'm going to make it through these war times. Well the end of the year is before us and it is obvious to all that is going to be a very difficult challenging time to live into work.  War wrecks and changes everything, even the way we live our live, the attitudes that come to us, the fears that are stoked in us and then for us to find a way as many people in the past have defined the things that are important, seek the things that are truly real and see if we find the strength, the result, the energy, and maybe the optimism to live in such a way that we know that in the end all will be well, Dr. Harold Koenig spoke to our church group yesterday and it was a remarkable presentation in which he demonstrated that faith is the most important thing in our life no matter whether we know it or believe it or not, and that faith and good health, and good living are related in significant ways and that's good news because what we believe and how we behave can affect life health and our well-being both in the long-term and right now, Just 15 minutes to tell you the

But I wonder if that's such a good idea.  Remember this great truth, life is difficult, heart, and adversity is often part of the plan... And often true transformation comes through a great love or perhaps even more often, a great suffering, So on this Wednesday in which the world is truly in a mess do in the most part to our own making, I want to step aside from our usual interesting ideas that will help you become more of a winner with a better life starting now and perhaps take time to realize how important it is and how vital it is for us to learn from those people who are not winning, but what they are doing is giving us an insight into life and character because in the middle of great difficulty they have learned something about the art of losing.
