As a hobbyist you may know this company for their PE Mysis® shrimp which is a premium food for both fresh and saltwater aquariums. We discuss the history of this little shrimp which actually is an invasive species and Piscine Energetics is helping the environment with their sustainable harvesting methods. Nuri and I have become good friends and we discuss everything from fish foods, building a business, and his latest project Poma Labs! Rich is a MASNA "Aquarist of the Year" award recipient and is well known for his love of octopuses. Rich and I discuss how social media has changed the way information about the hobby is disseminated, particularly how opinions are often taken as fact. We also briefly touch on the bill before the legislature in Hawaii and it's potential impact to the trade.
