In this episode we sit down with Richard Ross who works at the Steinhart Aquarium in California. Rich is a MASNA "Aquarist of the Year" award recipient and is well known for his love of octopuses. He also writes articles for his "Skeptical Reefkeeping" series which you can find at http://packedhead.net/ In this podcast we learn about some of the tasks required to manage the Steinhart's 212,000 gallon reef tank and his home reef. Rich and I discuss how social media has changed the way information about the hobby is disseminated, particularly how opinions are often taken as fact. We also briefly touch on the bill before the legislature in Hawaii and it's potential impact to the trade.
