I'm LATE. I know, I'm sorry. Hopefully, these recording issues won't happen if I start recording with people in-person. Anyways, Marie Trudeau joins me to discuss Christmas in Harmony. A movie I was kinda down on until Marie convinced me that this movie is actually all things considered, pretty good! 

Bridget Salvia of Once In a Lifetime joins me to discuss Sex, Lies, and Murder aka Deadly Seduction. It's probably my favorite movie I've ever covered for the show. So, try to find it, watch it love it, listen to this episode about it, then spread the word far and wide. This ep was supposed to come out on 10/23, I don't know what happened. 

Bubble creator Jordan Morris (@Jordan_Morris) joined me to discuss the Kristen Davis erotic thriller, Deadly Illusions. Will Megan get Dermot Mulroney's name right now that's she's seen him in two different movies? Probably still no. Gillian "Gigi" Boyle and Megan Tripp discuss "Love's Last Resort" a Canadian film about a woman who has to choose between a man who's marrying someone else and her best friend's nephew played by Thomas Beaudoin AKA "Christmas Ghost." It's a funnier movie than that premise suggests, we promise.

Megan and Alonso discuss out-of-the-box Christmas movies and Christmas movies you may have missed. And Megan fears for her life in the middle of a serious thunderstorm. :)

Megan and film critic Alonso Duralde (@aduralde) discuss The Christmas Train. A movie about a romantic train ride with one wild twist! 

Tim Stevens (@Ungajje) joins me to discuss "You're So Cupid," a 2010 tween rom-com about the daughters of Cupid. It's a very silly though not entirely Cupid... I mean Stupid... movie.

Ryan Kane (@FBC_PapaMink) joins me to discuss how "Secret Obsession" could be made into a video game, and I reveal to Ryan what my Secret Obsession is: the shots Michael Moscowitz's keyboard as he plays in the garage scene of "The Princess Diaries." Those shots are to let you know that Michael wants to "live in a world where you can order M&Ms on a pizza." Otherwise, how would you react when Mia sends a pizza to his place with "SORRY" written out in M&Ms? You wouldn't get it. More details in the episode, trust me, you don't want to miss it.  

Yes, the Ryan Kane (@FBC_PapaMink) ep is 8 days late, but it is worth the wait! We discussed "Secret Obsession." After running away from an attacker Jenn is hit by a car and gets amnesia. Good thing her hubby is there 4 her, but is he all he seems? Nope! Pretty early on we figure out he isn't. We imagine this movie as an Allstate commercial, wonder why the good guys always confront the bad guys instead of just getting away from them, and discuss how the "knocking someone on the back of the head trick" is a great technique. 

So, I thought "A Week Away" was coming out this week and the next ep would be about "A Week Away," so I thought we'd do a bonus ep for it. Anyways, A Week Away is strangely enough, more than a week away. So, that'll be an April ep and this conversation has no reason for being. BUT IT'S STILL A FUN AND CRAZY EVANGELICAL RIDE BABY! We talk about our experiences in Baptist and Methodist circles spanning time from '89 to the early '00s. It's a truly weird and funny conversation!

What's something from your pre-teen years that's burned into your memory? For host Megan Tripp, it's the movie "The Princess Diaries," and not even the whole movie, just a few key scenes. I talk about one of those key scenes in this episode. Also, here's a link to the song, "When Did Your Heart Go Missing." 

Mary Parker joins me in watching the 1999 Lifetime Movie, "Invisible Child," about a family with a delusional mother who believes she has three children when she in fact only has two. Her husband and her elder child help with her delusion and her younger child believes in his "invisible sister." It's a tragic tale but also, strangely hilarious? 

Host emeritus of Best Acquaintances and of Media-eval, Ollie Brady, joins me to discuss the 1996 HBO movie, Rasputin. Marvel at our Alan Rickman impressions, our cold takes on the character of Severus Snape, and then go out and watch this movie on YouTube, you'll probably like it!
