The residents of National City are acting very strangely. It is as if they all have the same objective in mind. Kara has to seek help to stop it before the people she has sworn to protect become enslaved by her Uncle Non. He claims that he wants to save the people of Earth from destroying their home. Non says he wants to honor Astra’s plan to use a program called Myriad to keep Earth from suffering the same fate as Krypton. Kara goes to the Fortress to seek advice on Myriad and get the location of her cousin. Kalex will not help until she reminds it that it was created to serve the great House of El. Kara needs a plan quickly before the world’s entire population is turned into robot-like drones. Superman always goes off planet at the most inconvenient times. This past weekend some of our favorite actors got together for Galaxycon. The result was a fun conversation featuring lots of interesting facts. There were stories about getting cast in their current roles on Supergirl. They discussed what shows they've been watching during quarantine. They discussed what crossovers are really like. They discussed who makes them laugh and who messes up their lines the most. We got to pull back the curtain and discover things about the amazing actors that bring our superheroes to life. No specific information was available about the missions our team might face in season six. One thing was clear. They are all on board for a Legion of Superheroes story leading them to an adventure in the 31st century. There may be some pink pants for Brainy. Perhaps a hero that can whisper to bunnies. Once again the world got together to explore the fantastic world of superheroes. This time the focus was the stories that will be coming to our televisions. I was very excited to celebrate with fans from all over the world who love these stories just like I do. The DC characters may have fantastical powers, but it is their personal stories that we see reflected in our own lives that keep us tuning in week after week. It was clear to me that DC wants to promote diversity and bring us some hope in these troubled times. The world needs heroes and DC Fandome was here to show us what is next for our favorites. In the sky above National City all seems peaceful. When you turn on your super hearing you realize that the city always has a certain amount of animosity simmering below the surface. An anger that at times boils over and causes us to lose control. Maybe it is the result of someone cutting you off in traffic. Perhaps it is your mother making you feel unimportant. Sometimes it is someone else’s parents who believe their child could do better. Any of these circumstances could cause someone to become angry. The world of heroes came together for 24 hours. We escaped the confines of real life to celebrate something truly fantastic. In a time where social distancing is a must and following the rules is imperative it was fun to get lost in a story. Tales of heroes fighting for truth, justice and the American way. DC Fandome was a world wide gathering of fans anticipating what will come next for their favorite characters. First we were treated to a sneak peak of Wonder Women 1984. I simply cannot wait for Diana to lasso the lightning in theaters later this year. I can’t believe there are 80 years of stories featuring this beautiful gift from the gods. I was so happy that Lynda Carter was there in addition to Gal Gadot to celebrate the character’s anniversary. Next we had the opportunity to catch up with The Flash to see what is ahead for season seven. The women of color highlighted how many strong women we have in the DCTV Universe. We get to explore the beautifully complex relationships of mothers and daughters. The first time we got some history of the Danvers family. The story of Kal El is one we have known for many years. The destruction of Krypton was imminent and Jor El made a desperate plan to save his son. What I didn’t know is that the baby boy that became Superman was not the only child of the House Of El to escape the explosion. Kara Zor El was sent to protect her infant cousin. However the best laid plans can often be blown off course. Kara was propelled into the Phantom Zone where she slept for 24 years. When her pod finally fell to Earth it towed with it some of the galaxy’s most dangerous criminals. Fort Rozz was full of aliens angry with Alura Zor El for taking their freedom. It looks as though the sins of the mother will be paid for by the daughter. Luckily Kara is not alone. She has been raised by the Danvers family where she formed an in breakable bond with her adoptive sister Alex. In the Supergirl universe the character of Selena is shrouded in mystery. In the 1984 film she is an evil sorceress. After watching the movie twice as many questions remain in my head. How does this human know how to harness the power of the Omegahedran? How does she know of the Phantom Zone? This version of Selena seems determined on world domination. It doesn’t seem to me that she would serve anyone. In contrast, the Supergirl television series Selena seems to be a servant of her people. What remains of the population of Krypton is living on the moon of Argo. The people were completely dependent on black Krytonite to keep the environment habitable. This version of the character doesn’t seem to want to enslave humanity. She is motivated to destroy the human race and terraform their planet. Selena the Krptonian witch wants a new Krypton to rise from the ashes of Earth. She strives to be a hero to her people using the powers of her genetically engineered daughter Reign. Season five may be over but we are still talking about it. Now that Crisis on Infinite Earths has combined our worlds it is easier to hang out with our super friends. Silver Vox and I are very excited to talk to the hosts of Supergirl Radio, Pod Off Course, and Supergirl’s Attic. We will explore what went right, what went wrong and what it is like to chronicle the adventures of Supergirl. Let’s view the season with new eyes. Season five is over, but the super summer of fun has just begun. It may be next summer before our high flying heroine takes to the sky again but we would never leave our super friends for that long. It is the day that Lex has been waiting for.  He got his invitation to the Leviathan ship. He doesn’t have to take down Supergirl himself.  He can put the job in the hands of gods that are indestructible. Lex has given them the knowledge and the tools they need. He only has to sit back and enjoy the show. Kara texts Alex 911 and assembles the team to rush to her side. Lena is not the threat here. Hopefully there will be time to talk more later about the events and choices that damaged their friendship. There is no time to talk about the past when the future is so uncertain. All the super friends must work together before these element wielding immortals destroy this world. Kara cannot join the fight until the new suit is finished to protect her from the kryptonite that Rama Khan stole from the DEO. Luckily Alex has a new suit and has mastered the Martian weapon that J’onn has given her. Agent Dox cannot sit around and let Lex Luthor hurt his friends. The answer to solving their problems is to lose themselves in the virtual world.  According to Obsidian North virtual reality is perfect for dealing with stress and working out your problems. Maybe even make your wildest dreams come true. What if you were to get lost? What if you couldn’t find the way out?  What if what started as virtual reality is reality to you now? Alex is in pain from the loss of Jeremiah. She was so close to her father they could finish each other’s sentences. He depended on her for many things. She was expected to help her mother and look out for her little sister. Jeremiah often treated Alex like an equal. Often forgetting that she was just a child herself. Alex screams that she has lost him so many times she does not feel compelled to accompany Kara to Midvale to bury their father and comfort their mother.  She also pushes Kelly away. She is making it clear that she just wants to be left alone wi

Someone wants Dreamer to take off her cape. He says we don’t need a Superhero like her. He is targeting members of the transgendered community to get her attention. Across town at Obsidian North Kelly detects a problem with the technology. This new virtual reality is so immersive it connects to your biometrics. If you get too stressed a red button appears that should eject you from the scenario. When it fails Kelly must pull the patrons out with adrenaline. She must report this bug to Andrea. Yvette is not going to let Nia spend another Friday night on the couch. She invites her to come along to a club where she is meeting her new boyfriend. She met him through Upswipz, the hottest dating app in National City. Unfortunately for Yvette this date is a sham. He is just using her to get to Dreamer. Nia is understandably enraged and has very little patience with the Police sluggish response to the situation. This is Dreamers community, therefore this is personal. With the launch of Obsidian North’s next generation of VR you will be able to see, taste, and touch your wildest dreams. The important thing is to not forget the real world around you. Losing touch with reality can have actual inescapable consequences. Alex has moved from being under Lex Luthor’s control. Her sister Kara is not as lucky. Lex wants to break into Leviathan’s inner circle. He believes the key to doing that is to protect their latest asset Andrea Rojas and therefore Supergirl is assigned to be her bodyguard. Meanwhile animal trials have completed in the non nocere project. Even the most aggressive animals are rendered docile and friendly. Lex had promised to help Lena with the project and he has really come through. He arranged human subjects at the local prison to take non nocere to the next level. While there we see Steve again. He praises Lena as a hero for taking the violent tendencies out of his fellow inmates. Lena’s project only targets one region of the brain. The unforeseen consequence i

What if you could change the outcome of one of your greatest regrets?  Would you do it? What if Kara could go back and tell Lena the truth before Lex had a chance to?  Well when the fifth dimensional imp Mxyzptlk is involved literally anything could happen. Get your bucket of popcorn and pull up a chair as we are snapped in an out of alternative realities. What a creative way to take us through 100 high flying adventures with Supergirl while also exploring one of her greatest regrets.  Each time she told the truth things just kept getting worse and worse. Culminating in a Lena Luthor that was a sort of dictator over National City. There was also a scenario where telling the truth cost Kara her life. It was heartbreaking to see Alex existing without her. Proof of what we always say the sisters are the heart of the show. In this landmark episode we are able to revisit some of the exciting moments that shaped our storyline over the last five years. The moments that have influenced our characters and made them wh

"Back From The Future Part Two" brings us back to Winn and his father's dark cloud over his son's life.  With Supergirl's help Winn finds the way to bring closure to his father's story and redeem the name of Toyman.  Also, Alex stumbles into Brainy's meddling into things at the DEO and the Luthor siblings move things more in their direction of non nocere and the defeat of Leviathan.  Or so they think...  This week we present a quatro of duo's...   Supergirl and Winn find Toyman's Closure It's karaoke night at Al's and Winn, who we learn is Computer Lad in the Legion, has put down 42 pot stickers already - hey, they don't have these in the 31st Century, don't hate - William comes through the door, because Kara couldn't not invite him after Game Night (duhhhhhhhhh).  They duo on the band Toto's "Africa," which hopefully shall never be spoken of again.  A 9-1-1 comes to Alex about a situation at the DEO so she, J'onn, and Winn go to check it out.  Leaving Kara and William.  Together.  (Insert head smack...here)
