Nia Nal was born and raised in Parthas. On Parthas humans and aliens live together in peace. She had a happy childhood and loved her hometown but always envisioned herself doing more. She attended college in Washington DC where she wrote speeches for Cat Grant.  Nia was going to change people’s minds with her words. Ms. Grant sent her to Catco to be mentored by Kara. Nia came to National City at a turbulent time. The Children of Liberty were trying to get aliens out of their town.  She is no stranger to the difficulties of being different. She was assigned male at birth but knew with her whole heart and soul that she was meant to be a girl. The universe thought so too. She was bestowed the power to see the future through her dreams.  A gift given only to one daughter per generation on Naltor, the planet her mother is from. Nia tragically loses her mother to a spider bite after failing to read the warning signs in her dreams. She has a lot of frustration around losing her mother before learning to harness the

Midvale is the small town where Kara Zor El became Kara Danvers. A place where she found a new purpose. Alex Danvers' life was easier before Kara crashed into it. She had two loving parents and not so much responsibility. Now her mother expects her to be a good Earth ambassador and make sure her sister is safe and happy. Maybe that part would not be such a hardship if she hadn’t lost her father to achieve that goal.  Alex has never had a sister before but she promises to get better at it. The first time we visit Midvale two broken hearted women are returning to their childhood home for some comfort. It is there that we learn that the death of Kenny Li in high school really brought Alex and Kara closer together. It was the first time they worked together to make the world a better place. It was a story told through a flashback so no harm was done to the timeline. In season six we get another Midvale based story. However this one involves time travel in a post crisis world.   In order to save Kara from the Phan

Kara is still stuck in the Phantom Zone. When a phantom attacks Supergirl is overwhelmed with fear. She fears if her team attempts to save her they will all die, and it would be all her fault!  It has taken Brainy and Nia three days to return from Midvale with the DNA they need to pinpoint Supergirl in the fractured Phantom Zone. However, the rest of the team has not been idle.  J’onn has modified the top few levels of his tower to become a ship. A vessel that has special shields for interdimensional travel and a containment unit for Prime Phantom.  Lena has harnessed the power of the yellow sun into a bomb. This creation has the power to repel the phantoms and recharge Supergirl’s powers simultaneously.  All is going smoothly until a breach in the containment cell allows some of Prime Phantom to affect the team. Now what stands between them and saving Supergirl is their own fear.  In Alex's mind her greatest fear is being the one person who causes the mission to fail by being reckless. CJ Grant is determined to get the story. She will do whatever it takes to show Perry White that she is destined for more than the tabloid stories he sends her to cover. She will find her own story. One that will make her more famous than Lois Lane. However her hubris may change her destiny forever. Brainy and Nia  must follow Kara to prom. They have to be there on site for the meteor shower.  Kara’s encounter with that space rock will provide our super friends with the blood sample they need. Using The genetic code found there, they can hopefully find present day Supergirl in the phantom zone and bring her home.   They are however temporarily unable to fulfill their main mission. Nia continues to dream of a pink cougar and continues to have trouble interpreting what it means.  CJ Grant unknowingly releases Naxim Tork, who turns around and locks her up. Nia realizes the pink cat represents Cat Grant and they must save her before she changes her fate.   Kara is one strong girl already.  She is truthful with Ken

The mission this week is to collect some of Kara’s DNA to help locate her in the fractured phantom zone and bring her home. Sure it would be easier to head over to her apartment and grab a hair brush but this will be far more fun. Brainy and Nia head to prom night 2009 in Midvale. There, according to Alex, Kara saved the Earth from a meteor impact. The rock was composed partly of kryptonite causing Kara to bleed on the baseball field.  The well calculated plan that Brainy devised goes sideways when a piece of the legion ship breaks. The result is Brainy and Nia crash a day early right in front of the people they hoped to avoid.  Kara is immediately on board to help these stranded aliens as Alex remains skeptical. Brainy and Nia are spit up. Nia will stay with the girls and Brainy will stay with Kara’s boyfriend Kenny.  I know what you are thinking. Kenny died when Alex was in high school. However in the post crisis world Kenny is alive and helping Kara save the citizens and pets of Midvale.  Their activities

The number of citizens infected by the phantoms continues to rise.  Brainy keeps constructing more containment pods. If a new plan is not formed soon, Supergirl will come home to a phantom zone on Earth!  With each life force gained, Phantom Prime becomes more powerful. If the team cannot find the chrysalis before it solidifies, the infected will be lost souls forever! Meanwhile in the phantom zone Nyxly uses her magic to portal to the pocket where Kara believes the exit from this dimension is. Allura would never leave her guards stranded. They are quickly disappointed as they find the portal mirror broken. Kara refuses to lose hope despite her father’s skepticism.  Back on Earth, Alex refuses to believe that she will not succeed in both missions in front of her. She must save the city and her sister.  She soon comes to realize that an impossible choice needs to be made. What would Kara do in this moment?   Alex has no doubt that her sister would save the world before herself every single time. Alex must sold

When a phantom escaped into the city I was sure our biggest problem would be doubt and despair. The reality is much worse. These aliens also inject venom into their victim’s body. After a short incubation period the victim is transformed into a phantom. They steal your soul and enslave you. Brainy says they had done this on many planets before the Kryptonians sent them to their newly created prison world. Supergirl is still trapped in the Phantom Zone which is now fractured into innumerable pieces. The super friends must protect the city and save her. Their biggest challenge is not losing hope in Kara’s absence. The legal system failed to punish Lex Luthor but Lena and Brainy are working together to seek vengeance. Lena locks Lex out of all accounts including the Lex Foundation. This organization is only a front to funnel money to Kaznia for weapons. Brainy is able to reroute the balance of the account to the Luthor Children's Wing of National City Hospital. Lex quickly strikes back telling the media that Len

Kara is trapped in a place where phantoms roam free and you are forced to relive the most disturbing moments of your life.  In this realm time does not move. If you try to resist the phantoms they will drive you insane.  In this place of endless fear and despair, Kara finds an unexpected ally. Her father sent himself to the Phantom Zone to escape the destruction of Krypton and has been evading the phantoms ever since.  Lex Luthor is on trial for crimes against humanity. He tried to take free will from half the world and kill the rest.   Andrea sends Nia and William to cover the trial. Nia is late for work because she was fighting a vampire!  No, there are not really vampires in National City but there is a blood drinking alien from the planet Transylvania.   His name is Silas and he has gotten in and back out of the Phantom Zone so perhaps he can help our team save Kara.  When Silas successfully opens a portal Brainy is distressed to find that Crisis has left the landscape fractured. Lex Luthor is wielding the power of three ancient gods of Leviathan. Gememnea escaped the bottle because she is pure technology. She could not be defeated in the same way. Dreamer has made it to Brainy’s location to find him on the brink of death. Alex arrives and administers a treatment for the radiation poisoning. The treatment allows Brainy’s head to clear enough to tell the team about the anti-life equation. It has the power to defeat pure technology which is what Gememnea is. Each member of the team has their strengths and together they must fight to save this world. Lex has changed Lena’s do no harm program to the I love Lexi upgrade. Half of the population will adore him regardless of his actions and the others that were not logged in during the unity festival will die. This would include his sister but she killed him first so he considers that fair. Supergirl wants to save the world even if it means sacrificing her life. She agrees to surrender in exchange for the codes to disable the satellites that

Supergirl and her team have faced a lot of turmoil recently. Not the least of which was a crisis of epic proportion. The process of bringing numerous Earth’s together left Supergirl and her friends on Earth Prime. I fear the cosmic shift will lead to many yet unforeseen problems. Lex Luthor has manipulated his way to the center of it all, crowning himself the Paragon of Truth. Many crazy events have transpired. Perhaps this butterfly should start at the beginning. Lena sold Catco to Andrea Rojas who is eager to turn it in to a tabloid newspaper. Why should she report real news when her main financial endeavor is on the next floor down at Obsidian North? People are encouraged to let go of reality and live in the virtual world her company has created. Lena uses the money earned from the sale of the magazine to fund her Non Nocere initiative. Her goal is to create a society of people that no longer wish to harm one another. These two college friends are on different paths. One wants to entice people into a fake

Kara is in pain. The girl of steel is crumbling on the inside. No amount of pizza or potstickers can ease her broken heart. She has sent the man she loves into space to save this planet from an alien race looking to colonize it. National City wants to celebrate their hero and Kara wants to be alone. She longs to sleep because there she can see the faces of loved ones lost. Speaking of dreaming. Someone in National City is having pretty intense ones after manifesting super strength at the event on the waterfront. Lena is visualizing a business as she jumps in to save Catco from Morgan Edge. How will she succeed now Kara has quit. Supergirl is attempting to push Kara Danvers out of her life. Alex reminds her sister that Kara is her favorite person and she should think about that before attempting to erase that part of herself. Superman and Lois have soared onto the CW. Due to the recent Daxamite invasion plaguing National City, Silver Vox and Green Butterfly are a little late checking out the adventures of Kara’s super cousin. I know what you're thinking. You guys said you were not going to podcast about this show. You are completely correct. Superman and Lois' next chapter in life is going to be covered in detail on the Tomorrow's Legends podcast. Our Super Friends Martin, Jess and Geoff will dive in deep week after week as the story unfolds. John and I just wanted to stop by to say hi and share a few thoughts on this premiere. What happens when someone uses your secret to manipulate you? What happens when brute force is not enough to solve a problem? What is wrong with Supergirl? This morning she was inspiring school children before flying into a burning building. Now she is acting very peculiarly. Her inhibitions are gone and her actions are reckless. What is causing this change? All of her negative feelings and resentments are rising to the surface. This is not our Kara. My mind drifts immediately to Max Lord. When trouble is stirring in National City he is often found holding the spoon. I miss Lena at this moment. I know in seasons to come she will stand between Supergirl and forces that mean to cause her harm. However in this moment let’s take a look back at the day that our beloved Maid of Steel saw red. Green Butterfly, Silver Vox and our super friends re-examine the season 1 episode Falling. Have a super week!

It is the moment the Danvers have been waiting for. Jeremiah has come home.  Amidst the joy there is trepidation. It seemed too easy to free him from the clutches of Cadmus. Alex can only see her wish come true. Her family reunited and whole. After a few conversations even Kara grows suspicious. A rift forms between the sisters. It is time for DC tv to turn the page and enter life after Arrow. What will happen next? Only the people in the writers room know for sure. Flash and Supergirl had to end their season abruptly due to the real life super villain Covid-19. Batwoman lost their leading lady.  A new caped crusader will protect Gotham now.  She is poised to lead off the new season January 17th.  Superman and Lois launches on the CW on February 23rd and Flash speeds ahead with new episodes on the same night.   Silver Vox and Green Butterfly are joined by all their Super Friends as we discuss and speculate what is next for our favorite characters.  Sadly for our beloved Maid of Steel no return date has been set.   She is not alone as both Stargirl and Legends of Tomorrow do not have a specific 2021 start date.  The silver lining of this split schedule is it looks as though we will be getting new superhero stories all year long.  Let’s ring in the New Year with a fun discussion. It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Kara lays snug in her bed with visions of pot stickers dancing in her head. Green Butterfly is dreaming too. Dreaming about a new high flying season of Supergirl and all the adventures it will contain. What would you suggest if you were in the writers room? What are your hopes and dreams for our Maid of Steel? First and foremost I wish for happiness for our super friends. Watching these characters week after week it is impossible not to become attached. We learn and grow and evolve with them. Notice I did not say happy ending. Above all I want to see our beloved team continue on even if it is not under the supergirl title card anymore. I agree with Silver Vox and some of you who have said Nia would be a great fit on Legends. I would like our story to travel to the 31st century for many reasons. Supergirl continues to protect the planet. Many miles away in the Arctic, Dr.Jones is researching how to save our planet from a climate catastrophe. He wants to spread a message of conservation. Deep beneath the ice lays an organism that will consume the energy of everything it touches. It leaches all power leaving only empty shells in its wake. Another thing that can zap energy away from you is the act of keeping a secret. The process of keeping a piece of yourself hidden. Kara Danvers understands that well. Until very recently few people knew of her super powers. What if your secret will cause people to view you in a different way? This is what Alex is thinking about. What will change if she admits she has feelings for Maggie? In this episode we get a very realistic portrayal of what it feels like to come out as gay. She wants to turn her family’s company into a force for good. She wants to transcend the negative feelings that people get when they hear the name Luthor. Thus it will become L Corp. It was a problem with the rebranding campaign that left her seat empty on this ill fated commercial space flight. The Man and Maid of Steel are able to save the passengers that were in the space craft.
