John Ryan joins me again for a Lifetime murder spree of a movie, Best Friend's Betrayal. We give our hot takes on hot drinks, and John explains how the actual justice system works rather than the bizarro universe the movie takes place in where you don't have to go to trial as a person charged with a crime unless you want to. 

Neither Sarah Ifft Decker (@sarahifftdecker) nor I know anything about science or American history. But she knows about medieval churches and I know about farts, so everyone is definitely staying in their lane this episode as we talk about the cheapest zombie movie ever made, Survivorz.

Lucky duckies! You get two episodes for July, including this Christmas in July episode! Dane Fox McGraw talks with me about Canadian movie, "Falling for Christmas." This movie is about an ice skater who learns "it's never good to push too hard," and learns to fall in love with an affable-enough single dad. Both important Christmas lessons. And Dane and I swear a lot.

Ross Weisman of @KidflixPod and I talk about Stranger in the House (2015) or Stranger in the House (2016). We definitely either talked about a woman who lives with her new husband and his dead wife's ghost or a woman who is accused of murdering her step-mother. Definitely at least one of these movies is the movie we talk about. 

Tim Hulsizer (Instagram handle @glamcrackers), joins me to discuss a real goof of a movie, A Frosty Affair where a girl falls in love with a rock hard chest, I mean a man. She falls in love with a man.   

My Gal Sunday is less "Taken" and more "Taken...at your leisure." Leigh Anthony Jones of @FilmClubFaceOff podcast joins me on this wild ride of a movie based on a Mary Higgins Clark book. 

comicsverse.com and marvel.com contributor Tim Stevens (@UnGajje) comes back for another Netflix Original movie, Velvet Buzzsaw. We try to figure out if this is a horror, slasher, or satire movie, and fail to come up with an answer.  By the way, this is the Atlantic article we reference in the episode.

Emily Aguila and I watched The Sweetest Heart, the blandest of bakery-themed romance #hallmark ever thought up! Movie asks: What's better for girls to play other than "bride"? The second-to-last of the episodes I recorded in 7/18 is released today! Chris and I talk about "The Beastly Beauty." The twist is that she's a beauty that behaves in a "beastly" way. Get it? Neither does @ChrisFGambino, and neither do I. Gigi Boyle and I swoon over Thomas Baeudoin the actor who plays ghost Daniel in The Spirit of Christmas in Christmas in July Part 1. We re-name main character Kate "Angela" for no apparent reason, and don't even bother with names for anyone else but Lily, the ghost's former love from the 1860s. 1910s? Who knows? We certainly don't. :p Why does a ghost have a body? We don't know that either, but we are not complaining!

Sarah Ifft Decker (@sarahifftdecker) joins me for the romance, Love at the Christmas Table, about two kids who see each other at an annual Xmas party for 24 yrs. A tedious and absurd premise at best, a horror film at worst. Sarah also teases her podcast, Media-Eval which is going to be released sometime soon.  

My college friend Chelsie Berios and I talk about a Hallmark movie, Dear Dumb Diary. Is this a fun movie about boys, embarrassment, and embracing your inner awesome? Or is it a musical trainwreck that over-sexualizes meatloaf? Give this episode a listen to find out.
