  • 224 - Peter's First Sermon - Part 2

    15/01/2017 Duration: 52min

Peter's First Sermon - Part 2. Acts 2:22-24. So, we are still in the midst of Peter's first sermon, just covering the next few verses. Peter addresses his audience again, introducing Jesus to them this time, but not by name as he only calls Him, Jesus of Nazareth, instead of Jesus the Christ, but that's OK, because that's how they knew of Him. And, instead of referring to Jesus as the Christ, Peter describes Jesus the Christ by the things He did, and the things that were done to Him, that those in Peter's audience knew of first hand. What kind of things did this Jesus of Nazareth do? What was done to Him, and who was responsible for them done to Him? Peter has a very sobering message for those in his audience, and so do I, for those who brave listening to this message. Are you ready? Take a listen, if you think you can handle real truth. • 223 - Peter's First Sermon - Part 1

    08/01/2017 Duration: 55min

Peter's First Sermon - Pt. 1. Acts 2:14-21. Last week we read of how God gifted the apostles with the gift of tongues, and I talked about why He did that. One of the reasons He did, was to get the attention of the multitudes of people that were on the streets below, so that He could tell them about His Son, Jesus Christ. Did it work? Well of course, God's methods always work. But what next? What was God's next plan of action to reach these lost people for Christ? Peter preaches his first sermon. What does Peter preach on? A prophesy out of Joel chapter 2, a prophetic book that God inspired Joel to write hundreds of years before Christ was ever born. What was Joel's prophesy about? Did Peter transmit it exactly the way Joel wrote it? And what was God's intended purpose for the prophesy, and Peter's reason for preaching it. Come, take a listen and find out the answers to these questions and more, in this sermon titled, "Peter's First Sermon". May God richly bless you for seeking Him Pastor Ed

How long were the disciples waiting in the second floor apartment, in Jerusalem from the time Christ resurrected until His promise was given them? What was the promise of the Father, that God gave to His disciples on this day of Pentecost. What was the result of God's promise to His disciples. I discuss all of these questions and more in this sermon titled, "The promise of the Father". May God bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed

  • 211 - The Trinity

    16/10/2016 Duration: 01h03min

Overview – The Trinity. 1 John 5:6-7. The word trinity is not actually a word found in the Bible, but it is a definite truth found in scripture. The word trinity was created by a person that was trying to describe the Godhead, and trinity simply means, Almighty God, the God that created all things, is One God, but that He is also three separate persons. Many disagree and reject this doctrine, or teaching about God’s nature, but do they have the right to do so? What does God’s Word actually say about the trinity? Is God Almighty, who is very clear in scripture that He is the One and only God, also really three separate and distinct persons? Are there scriptures that support the view of Almighty God as one in three and three in one, or not? Well, come and take a listen because I answer all of these questions, and more as I talk about the true nature of God. May God richly bless you as you seek Him. Pastor Ed

  • 210 - The “How” To Love

    09/10/2016 Duration: 54min

Overview – The “How” To Love. 1 John 5:1-5. Throughout John’s entire epistle, he has been beating love, love, love, into the heads of Christians, over and over, and over again, and up until this point he has just given us a couple of ways of how we are supposed to love. That all changes today though, because in verses 2 and 3 of chapter 5, he tells us the undisputed, hands down, way of all ways, of “How” to love, in the perfect ways that God loves. He writes in verses 2 & 3 - By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. He tells Christians that they truly love other Christians by loving God, and keeping His Commandments. That seems a little backwards, doesn’t it? How does anyone love anyone else, by loving God and keeping His commandments? I spend the majority of the sermon explaining the idea that John is writing to us about, so please take a listen, and leave "a like" and "a comment". I

  • 209 - Being Born Again Is Awesome!

    02/10/2016 Duration: 01h16s

Overview – Being Born Again Is Awesome. 1 John 4:12-21. In this message John really brings home the idea of being born again, and so, that is the reason I named the sermon the way I did. And, not only did he bring up this idea, but he also gives us some of the characteristics of a person that is born again. I am born again myself, and my desire is that everyone in the world would come to be born again also, but what does being born again mean, or what does the Bible say it means to be born again. And how does someone know if they are born again, or if they are not born again. And lastly how does a person who is not born again, come to be born again. This born again idea that John addresses is very important, considering Jesus Christ Himself says in the Gospel of John, chapter 3 verse 3 “unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”. So nobody is going to get to stay in Heaven forever unless they are born again. So if you care about where you spend your eternity, come take a listen to

  • 208 - God Is Love

    25/09/2016 Duration: 45min

Overview – God Is Love. 1 John 4:7-11. In John’s message today He reminds us for the 6th time so far in this epistle, that the defining trait or characteristic of a truly saved person should be love, for God is love, and everyone who loves, IS born of God. Is John telling us that someone can love their way into the kingdom of God, meaning that they can do the good work of loving others, to earn our salvation? Also, John says that a saved person is known by their love, but what type of love is John talking about? Is John saying that truly saved people ALWAYS have love just pouring out of them? I answer all of these questions and more in today’s sermon titled, God Is Love. May the Lord bless you as you diligently seek Him Pastor Ed

  • 207 - Do You Understand God’s Word

    18/09/2016 Duration: 48min

Overview – Do You Understand God’s Word? 1 Timothy 4:4-6. Our sermon starts out today picking up where the textual information of the last sermon left off. John continued writing to us of some interesting truths of the Gnostics of his day, along with those who are not saved and following false religions, even today. Some good info there, but I spend most of my time today in vs 6, where John says, “He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us.” This verse is both very simple, and very complex and complicated to understand, but I spend a bunch of time teaching on what John says to help us understand both aspects. Do you understand God’s Word, is the big question of this sermon, and the big question that each one of us needs to ask ourselves. And, as this message points out, your answer to this question literally means the difference between Heaven and Hell. May the Lord Bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed

  • 206 - What Would Jesus Do?

    11/09/2016 Duration: 57min

Overview – What Would Jesus Do? 1 John 4:1-3. Daily, Christians will have communication with God, Christ, and God’s Holy Spirit, and God will communicate back to them as well. But unfortunately if you are a Christian, you will not only talk to God and hear from God, but you will also hear from the other side as well. Because, the devil and the fallen angels will speak to you, and try to communicate with you also. You may, or may not like what the evil ones have to say, and may, or may not want them to stop, but you will hear from them, that’s for sure, and that’s a fact. If you are a true Christian, and really love the Lord Jesus, and you want to be able to discern between God’s voice, and the evil one’s voices, then this is the sermon for you. How can you tell the difference between the spiritual voices you hear? I spend a large portion of this sermon teaching on this subject. May the Lord bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed

  • 205 - The Fickle Heart

    04/09/2016 Duration: 54min

Overview – The Fickle Heart. 1 Timothy 3:18-24. In our sermon today I talked about the fickle heart that John describes in this section. For John says in verse 20, if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. But then in verse 21 he says, beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. How can our hearts condemn us, but then not condemn us? People’s hearts are fickle, there’s no doubt about it, but what does this look like in the life of a spiritual child of God, and in their walks with God and Christ? I talk about this as the main part of today’s sermon, plus a couple other points that John makes in this section. Take a listen, and let me know if you have any questions, or make a comment on the sermon on the Soundcloud application. May the Lord bless you as you seek Him Pastor Ed
