Overview - The Goodness Of God Leads People To Repentance. Acts 4:29-31. In my message today, I pull out several interesting things about the last part of the disciples prayer of victory to God, for His deliverance to them over the religious leaders who were trying to attack and kill them for preaching Jesus crucified. They pray about God’s sovereignty over the situation with Christ and what happened to Him, and they did this for a reason, but why? They pray about the way they wanted God to continue to work and move, they did this for a reason, we talk about why. And how God responded to their prayer, because He responded in a very awesome way. Then we end with the main part of the sermon, talking about why God responded the way He did to their prayer. But I won’t spoil the main part of the sermon for you, you have to come, take a listen, and find out how God responded to their prayer, and why He responded the way He did to their prayer. Overview - Does Mankind Have Free Will? Acts 4:24-28. Does Mankind have free will to do and make choices as they desire, and follow or reject God as they wish to, or is God sovereign, meaning that God has complete control of mankind and all of their choices, including whether they accept or reject God? The ideas around the statements that I just made, are very complicated, and because they are, people have done very much damage with them, and have made many claims that aren’t Biblical, but sadly, they are widely accepted. Today, I hope that I can clarify some of those misunderstandings and damages around these ideas with this sermon. Overview - Does Evolution Explain Away An Intelligent Designer. Acts 4:23-26. The title of the sermon is pretty much what I talk about today as my major focus. The apostles come to their fellow Christian family members to tell them the good news of the outcome of the trial with the religious leaders, and they rejoice together and start to shout out or pray, “Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them,”. And we take their profession of a great creator God, and speak about whether or not evolution (macroevolution, the science of one species evolving unto another) really does explain away the God that the disciples were praying to here, or whether there is any evidence for an intelligent designer God, the ones that the disciples prayed to here in Acts 4. Our journey today is very deep, but Power packed with evidence. Is there any evidence to suggest that evolution (macro), is true? Is there really any evidence to suggest that an intelligent designer God is really real?

Overview – The Chief Cornerstone. Acts 4:5-22. In our sermon today we examined the meeting of the apostles Peter and John with the religious leaders after the religious leaders had put them in jail the day before, for preaching Jesus and the resurrection, to the people in the temple. In their meeting, the religious leaders question the apostles about their miracle with the lame man, because they knew they had done some miracle And Peter responds to their questioning with a mouth full, and this mouth full is full of fire, and takes up almost the whole entire rest of the section. How does Peter respond? And: Why does Peter respond with such a mouth full of fire? Overview – The Purpose Of Miracles. Acts 3:11-26 to Acts 4:1-4. In our sermon today we discover God's two main reasons for allowing miracles to happen for people. Scripture is very clear about God’s purpose for miracles, we just have to look closely to find out why. So, why does God allow miracles to happen? Overview: The Lame – Lazy man. Acts 3:1-10. In my sermon today we discussed the meeting between Peter, John, and a lame man. The disciples are going up to the temple, the place where they had been going to church, to pray at about 3pm, and they meet this lame man, who was being lazy, as he was begging people for money. He wanted money, and a hand out, we will call it, yet God had a different gift for him. God gave him a literal helping hand up, as Peter tells the lame man to get up, but then (by faith) takes him by the hand and pulls him up, and he was instantly healed. Why was this lame man lying there and asking for money? Did he have a choice whether he was in that situation or not? Was the lame man expecting the healing miracle? Was he there for a miracle? Overview - The Church! Acts 2:42-47 In our sermon today, we studied the fact of how the early Christians actually went to church. The same type of organized, structured, and literal church that we have today, 2017. The early church had pastors, deacons, leaders, and rules; the very same as our modern Christian church has today. And we see all of this in these simple 6 verses in Acts chapter two. But these verses are not the only ones that speak of an early first century organized and structured Christian church, with leadership and such, there are many whole sections of the Bible that speak of this concept as well. I will not list them off here, but I speak about them, in depth, in this message. There are many today that don’t believe that the Christian church should be operated the way it is not, and because of this, they reject the ordination God has for “The Church”, but are they write? Overview - Peter's first sermon - part 4. Acts 2:29-41. This sermon is the last of Peter's first sermon. We will move on the new Christian church next week, along with the new Christian church’s growth. Today we cover the last section of Peter's sermon, in which he goes over some of the details of David, and his great, great, great, great grandson, who is the Christ. He hits them right where it hurts and reveals to them that Jesus is this Christ, and David's descended grandson (according to the flesh, or in his lineage), and that they were the ones responsible for killing Him. To this they respond in the way in which God desires all people to respond when faced with their true sinful condition. The sinful condition that separates them from God Almighty. They are cut to the heart, and cry out to Peter and the other Apostles, "What must we do". What does Peter say they need to do, in order to be saved from their sin? Peter's First Sermon - Part 3. Acts 2:25-28. I cover a third part of Peter's sermon today. There is no specific amount of verses that I am teaching weekly now, I am just going as the Lord Jesus Christ leads. Today we cover the section of Peter's sermon where he quotes David's prophetic words of Christ's defeat of death in Psalm 16. But David doesn't only prophesy of Christ's resurrection, he also tells us that he sees God at his right side, and speaks to us of the hope that God's faithful have. David goes on to tell us of how good God is, in the way of how He is always there for His spiritual children. In light of this, I speak on the place worry, stress, and problems have in a child of God's life.
