    28/12/2022 Duration: 11min

Unpopular opinion coming your way about one of the most American and classic dishes our country has. • You Deserve Your Flowers, Even If You Do Not Receive Them

    07/10/2022 Duration: 15min

No matter how hard you work, sometimes you will not get the recognition you deserve. Just because someone does not give you your flowers, does not me you did not work hard, were not the best, and did not deserve them. But you should consider if it's time to consider taking your talents elsewhere, where you can make an impact and also get the recognition you deserve. And sometimes if you have slighted someone for recognition, Thomas Rhett said it right. "When you do somebody wrong, make it right." And do it before you lose them.

  • Interpretation, Perception... It Goes BOTH ways

    07/10/2022 Duration: 14min

Because of our life experiences and beliefs, we all interpret and perceive things differently. And sharing the feedback of our interpretation or perception can be insightful. But when it is on the negative side, it is now up to the receiving party on how they interpret or perceive the message. And it works both ways. Whatever you dish you have to be able to take. There are consequences to all actions even if the intent is good. That may not be the way other people see it. And you have to be able to deal with the consequences of sharing your or another person's perception. Especially when agendas and personal relationships are involved.

  • The Harm in "Assuming the Good"

    07/10/2022 Duration: 11min

No one likes a person who thinks DOOM is coming all the time. People like to believe in the best of a situation. BUT a red flag is still a red flag. And no matter how optimistic you want to be, there are times when caution needs to be had. In general, you want to assume the good in person but sometimes you must evaluate the situation and history before setting your mind to "assuming the good". Especially when you are trying to convince someone else to ignore precedent, warning signs, or their gut to be cautious or even "assume the bad" in a situation for the sake of simply "assuming the good" Especially when personal relationships, dignity, and reputation are on the line.

  • Ship Sailed, Go in a Different Direction, Get Out of Your Own Way

    15/09/2022 Duration: 29min

"That's the problem with most people. They dream about what they want to do instead of really doing."  -Whitney Houston, Fairy Godmother in 1997's Cinderella Sometimes it can be hard to admit that you need to make some changes to be happy and/or reach your goals. Sometimes you need to examine those goals to see if what you desire is the true goal or if the goal is currently something you think you need to reach or have to get your desire. Sometimes we have to be okay with letting someone else down in order to live our best lives. There are many situations in life where you do not have choices or are limited by the cards you have been dealt. And no matter the cards you have in life, you guarantee there will be divine, earthly, or more commonly fellow humans who will throw obstacles in your way. So yet so many times we are our biggest enemy by getting in our way of achieving what we want or making the changes we need to pivot, reorganize, and self-reflect.  It is time for all of us to be able to say

  • Representation Matters

    09/09/2022 Duration: 25min

In a world where in inclusivity and DEI have become popular talking points, there is always going to be a debate and they won't always be "nice". Inclusivity and representation are different in my book. And recently I stumbled upon a meme about representation and how it relates to children. It made me think more about why representation matters in one way or another or every person, even if it is suspicious. Representation can be the difference between someone wanting to try something new or not. The difference between someone making a purchase or sticking to what they know. Representation can be the difference between some achieving higher levels of belief in themselves. Hear me out on the importance of REPRESENTATION.
