This month’s Naptime sees GIRLDICK returning to join drowzee for a celebration of the pair’s indisputable mutual favorite band; the mighty Linkin Park. The duo will spend the hour going back and forth picking out the finest cuts from the band’s extensive back catalogue, playing everything from the big singles to the B-sides. They will also try their best not to play too many songs from the criminally-underrated remix album “Reanimation” - aka their favourite album to wax lyrical about together in the afters. Brace yourselves for an hour of rap-infused heavy metal, 2000s nostalgia, and probably a fair bit of sentimental reminiscing from the hosts

Everybody’s wearing music. This bunch has decided to show off their style publicly. Wearing Music’s up and coming show has scouted musicians from the underground to showcase their unknown tracks to the masses. Sounds weaving from indie to hip-hop and across from jungle to techno, underpinned by world music accessories - you’re in for a dose of fresh fashion. Wearing Music has been made possible by funding from the Manchester Adult Education Service. We are popping up from 1pm-2pm on Reform Radio. Better to get down to the launch before we start selling out across the city.

The Hive Collective. A swarm of Manchester based creatives that set their stingers on Tameside. Flying in with pollen collected in their empty monster cans to make highly caffeinated content, buzzing and bouncing along to everything from powerful indie and alternative music, to house bangers that could get any creature up on their back legs. The questions don’t stop for these bees at ‘do you like jazz’. They’ve gone straight to the heart of what moves a nest. The après-honey making cafés are filled with this busy lot talking about their lessons and likes, identity and fan-fiction. Tune in from 12-2 to hear how a hive can really hum when working together. She’s the co-founder of COARSEN Studio, a community platform uplifting underrepresented women, non-binary, and LGBTQIA+ creatives, and a passionate food blogger, always on the hunt for the next best bite. Her music taste spans from Electronic Dance, Drum & Bass and Garage to Neo-Soul, RnB and Hip-Hop. Serving up sounds that keep you moving and vibes that never miss!

First there was the energy - the energy made the groove - and the groove made you MOVE! Carry on listening for the proof, ‘cause it’s going off the roof. We’re going to take you on a journey, from the land of R&B to the waves of the indie sea, we’re on a quest to show what we’re made of; 30% water and 70% groove. Our quest started in the Royal Kingdom of Reform Radio in the swamps of Piccadilly Gardens - this is a new chapter within our tales, from taming soundtrap to riding along the .wavs!

Having met hollowlight at a party a few months ago where they bonded over their mutual love of British rock band Placebo, this month’s Naptime sees drowzee invite the Manchester based producer, rapper and DJ to collaborate on an hour long deep dive into the outfit’s back-catalogue. Not just packing the show out with the big singles, Placebo’s full artistic range is on display here, with the raw, punky hedonism of their early outings sitting comfortably alongside more polished, emotional ballads as well as dissonant, experimental album cuts and heavily electronic B-sides. These 60 minutes should provide a more than adequate introduction for new listeners, and are guaranteed to inspire nostalgia and unlock hidden memories in those who, like the show’s presenters, have fond memories of listening to the band growing up.
