  • The Big Short by Michael Lewis Book Review by Motormouth Mark Lunt

    07/02/2011

Hey, this is Mark Lon AKA Motor Mouth(?). Doing a book summary on Michael Lewis's book The Big Short. Michael Lewis was, he wrote a book called Liars(?) Poker have to work For Suliman Brothers from 85 to 88. Was a big runaway hit. He had he has tried to write about what was wrong with the industry and instead of it was taking this kind of a how to manual by all these people how to go and make a ton of money without knowing anything about it. The Big Short is about the sub prime collapse in the financial melt down that ensued(?) and the kind of the the way it happened and the people that that against it and there's really oh 4 or 5 people that the book focuses on. One is Michael Berry individual with Asperger(?) Syndrome who just is an incredible investor. Another one is Greg Litman who really was

  • Motormouth Mark - talking about pod cast, boss, little bit

    06/01/2011

Hey, this is Mardy Matt Morricks(?) following, doing the final pod cast on Good boss Bad boss and love the boss. It was really timely for me to. We have a couple of new employees that was really healthy for me to think about these things and what I'm doing that's right, what I'm doing that's wrong and definitely have done a few things rolling and so I'll try and learn from that especially when they talk about employee hanging kind on every word you say and you know I'll come in and kinda try on an idea for a little while. Talk about it. Maybe that's not quite right. Try something else and for the employees that found it a little bit confusing. So I need to be better about that. He talked about how a lot of companies just have too many methods to focus on that they miss the whole goal. So and I don't work for the post up on these. So guilty of that but they're focused on all these reports.

  • Made to Stick audio book review by Motormouth mark Lunt

    18/12/2010

Made to Stick by Motor Mouth is my book review. I'm into it like about an hour and 40 minutes. I'm really liking it enjoying it a lot. He starts off the book with an urban legend about someone who this guy who buys a drink at a bar and wakes up in a bathtub with some pipe coming out of his back and a note that says do not move call 911 and he calls and 911 says oh don't move these guys are kidney harvesters(?) and you're their latest victim they took one of your kidneys and then he goes on to talk about how there's no marketing budget behind that urban legend. There's no one benefiting from it yet it stuck for whatever reason the story has been passed around so many times and has some elements that that helped it to stick.

  • Influencer final book review by motormouth mark lunt

    04/12/2010

Hey motor mouth coming back at you with the final wrap up of influencer(?) really enjoyed the book. He got in to this social capital he calls it and another name for it maybe Peer Pressure and how make some groups will we make it kinda of a habit to get with line about production goals or come in together on a project and how it's the game at chicken where all the groups are behind and their hoping the other groups says oh something happened a mini(?) more time you may all get more time and how it becomes just the model how the business works or doesn't work and I looked on Lansy(?) Street which is kinda half way house for criminals when they get out and then they come through this and I guess it's been extremely successful. What they do is they take like a crib and

  • motormouth mark on the midterms political podcast

    18/10/2010

Vote them out Mark putting together my political podca(?) cast on the mid terms. Once again I just called a political like a lot of people follow sports you know what's up with them? Let's helping people who's gonna win and why it's more what I'm trying to do here rather than a spells my, my opinion on on you know what's right or what's the proper role of government or what policies make the most sense and we'll be affected. S that's it really the the democrats need to shake things up badly actually like 3 weeks ago I thought this election was gonna be a lot funnier than it's turning out to be for someone like me and you know there's so much energy on the tea party and there was some really French candidates out there and, and I thought it wash gonna be funnier to watch and it's gonna be more tension in the Republican Party specially with like up in Alaska. Lisa Makielski

    25/09/2010

I read a part of Crucial Conversations thought it was a great book and hopefully I'll listen to it here before too long. • how to win friends and influence people book review final podcast by motormouth mark

    14/08/2010

Hey this is Motor Mouth with the final ramp of of Dale(?) Carnegie's How to Win Friends and Influence People, great book obviously it's been around for a long time, tons of people have read it. In the final chapters what he talked about was to trace some someone first as you as you lead into things you know and a lotta times you'd be like oh you're really good at mowing the lawn but you always forget to weed whip and if you can use and instead of but he thinks it's much better because the but just nullify what you said so if you if you could say you you did really said mowing the lawn and I like it too when the when it gets weed whipped well around the edges and it now looks great, sometimes that can work a lot more effectively just to talk about the use of drama and how people are so busy that sometimes things don't sync in so he had
