2 Nephi 23   We are almost done with the Isaiah chapters. You, know. Those ones that used to slow you down and perplex you. This week, we see that God views His children either as His people or the wicked. The Lord is clear about the destruction that will come to the wicked, but what will your role be? What part will you play? How can you prepare now to step into that role when the timing is right?

2 Nephi 22   This chapter is short and sweet! Isaiah praises God for being his salvation. He will trust God and not be afraid. He will praise the Lord and call upon his name.

2 Nephi 21   Isaiah has a message for us and it is a message of hope. It is a message to be excited about! The Lord is working among us, preparing His servants, gathering His children, and preparing us for a time in which we can experience the peace of the Millennium.

2 Nephi 20 "What will ye do in the day of visitation?" This is what Isaiah asks us? When the Lord comes again, what will we be found doing? Will we be assisting or afflicting the needy, the poor, the widow, the fatherless? And when life becomes difficult, when we experience affliction and opposition to our beliefs, when we experience the day of desolation, "To whom will [we] flee for help?"    

2 Nephi 19   The people were looking for a Savior, a King to rescue them from their oppressors, and to make them mighty once more. Jesus Christ did all of that. Just not in the way the house of Israel imagined. This week, join us as we learn how the Prince of Peace brings peace into our lives and at what point He is done with us. The point in which He withdraws His hand and He gives mercy to us no more. *Spoiler Alert* the answer is NEVER!

2 Nephi 17-18   We are now in the thick of the Isaiah chapters where we begin to read names and wonder who is who and what is going on. I try my best to not only break things down, but to also liken these scriptures to us today. What did Nephi want us to learn? I believe he desired us to learn more deaply and intimately about our Savior. What is in a name? In this podcast you will learn that in the name Immanuel is a promise. God With Us.

2 Nephi 16   Here Nephi has preserved the calling of the prophet of Isaiah. I love Isaiah's initial feelings when he is in the presence of the Lord. I think it is how we might feel or have felt when we have been given assignments that appear beyond our abilities. But with the atonement of Jesus Christ, through the purifying of Isaiah's iniquities, he moves from his initial reaction "I am undone" to "Here Am I." Can we do the same?

2 Nephi 15   Isaiah continues to show us that Zion shall be raised up. This time he likens the house of Israel to a grape vineyard and despite the Lord's efforts, the grapes have grown wild. Greed and coveting, a lack of regard for the Lord's work,a holding onto their sins, and calling evil good and good evil are some of the offenses that drove the spirit of the Lord out of their midst. If we take an honest look at our societies, we may see each and every one of these offenses amongst us as well. Listen to this week's episode to learn the goodness of God, even when His anger is kindled. His hand is still stretched forth. Listen to find out how He shows up for those children of His who desire to follow Him.

2 Nephi 13-14   When the gospel of Jesus Christ does not have a presence in our lives, priorities and even our roles can become displaced. In this episode, learn about the warnings that the Lord had Isaiah preserve for us - specifically for the Daughters of Zion. Modesty is an outward sign of dignity. We will review the pitfalls of immodesty.

2 Nephi 12   He is back! We begin the stretch of Isaiah chapters. You know! The ones that have intimidated you in the past. BUT. NO. LONGER! Our relationship is growing with Isaiah and with open hearts we approach these next 12 chapters.   Isaiah desires to testify of Jesus Christ, but he also desires to awaken us and invite us to turn from our wickedness and walk in the light of the Lord. To do so, we must acknowledge that we have gone astray in some way so that we can course correct. What a joyful opportunity! Listen to this episode and discover if there is any improvement that you can make by examining the suggestions of Isaiah.   The Savior has commanded us to diligently search the words of Isaiah. Let's begin!

2 Nephi 11   What do you delight in? Are you sharing it with others? Recognizing the feeling of delight helps us to know ourselves better. It helps us show up vulnerable, powerful, and inspiring. Our delight can be contagious and motivate others to discover what it is that brings us delight. These shared experiences then connect us with each other, imprinting delight upon our hearts. Nephi delighted in Christ. What do you delight in?

2 Nephi 10

2 Nephi 9: 27-54   How do we become like our God? How do we put off the natural man and tap into divinity? How do we find reason to rejoice during the whole process? This chapter is filled with "O"s, "Wo"s and "O"s again. In this episode, discover how to S.M.I.L.E. - Spiritually Minded is life eternal.  

2 Nephi 9   The Nephites had a question and their teacher Jacob was prepared to teach them. They knew that their bodies would waste away upon death, but that there would come a day when they would come before God in their bodies to be judged. How can that be?   Jacob bares testimony of the Infinite Atonement of Jesus Christ and the all encompassing reach it has - including reuniting the spirit and the body - freeing them from physical and spiritual death to making them at one.   How can studying God's plan give us insight into God himself? As you study 2 Nephi 9, look for His characteristics on display. See how everything He does testifies of His greatness. Accept Him into your lives, no matter how hard your life may be right now and commit to follow His plan.

2 Nephi 8   Jacob continues on covering chapters of Isaiah. We are given more counsel on why we should not be ashamed and even how we can stand up. It begins by remember our roots, accepting the Lord's comfort, embracing the everlasting versus the fleeting, not fearing man, and putting on our strength. We are better equipped than we realize to face mortality and all of its messiness. When we do these things, we can stand and then we can sit.

2 Nephi 6-7   Isaiah is back!!! and with the fantastic teaching of Jacob, the younger brother of Nephi, we can easily grasp the teachings that the great prophet desires us to understand. We are taught that those who wait upon the Lord will shall not be ashamed. He will set up His standard and His people will accept it and wait upon Him. Listen and discover what "the Lord's standard" is and add many more reason to your growing list of WHY you need not be ashamed to be one of His children.

2 Nephi 5   How did a family become two differing and opposing nations? Learn the beginnings and also the cause for the drastic change that took place among the Lamanites. What can we learn from this transition? Why were the Lamanites described as flint? Why were the Nephites happy?

2 Nephi 4:1-12 In this episode we learn the power that a priesthood blessing can have. Lehi blesses his grandchildren, that they will find mercy from the Lord despite the false teachings of their parents.
