For the second week in a row... the Leftover Army Monsters wade into the sludge at the bottom of the Kaiju barrel. This week, we talk about the 1976 movie called APE. • LOM Reptilian

    27/02/2019 Duration: 02h50min

This week, the Leftover Army Monsters are traveling to a place of despair. We are walking into the back alleys of the kaiju genre, all the way back to 1999/2001 for a joint Korean/American movie called Yonggary/Reptilian. With the rising use of CGI effects, and the financial, NOT critical success of the 1998 American Godzilla movie, these people decided to make this shameless cash grab. But is it as bad as I am saying, or does it traverse into the "so bad it's good" realm? Only one way to find out, so grab your bad blue screened jetpacks and join us as we dive into this smelly kaiju armpit.

Of course WTF News is full of stupid people from Florida and the show ends with some helpful gift ideas for your sweetie this Valentine's Day. The show is mostly garbage, UNLESS you enjoy David ripping on the Old Man, and if you are one of those assholes, you will love it! FML...

  • LOM Mothra Vs Godzilla

    11/02/2019 Duration: 03h50min

This week, the Leftover Army Monsters head back into the Toho universe, with special guest Jesse Candelori, as we talk about the highly acclaimed Mothra vs Godzilla from 1964. This is the beginning of Toho merging their individual kaiju into the same continuity. Some might call it one of the first every cinematic universes. Others will just call it a great movie. But did we all like the movie as much as kaiju fans usually do? Only one way to find out. So grab your fly swatters and your radiation suit, as we head to a great kaiju clash!

  • TRZ Episode 7 - Violent Saturday

    07/02/2019 Duration: 02h47min

The guys are joined by Rebekah Dahling of The Animated Batcast and Number One Comic Books. She brings a flavor of royalty to the show that we have not seen yet. Things get heated on this episode as Rebekah does not stand down to the mistreatment of the women in this movie. They get a little off track early with talk of Power Rangers (don't ask just listen). About 20 minutes in they finally dive into the movie. Shockingly Shawn doesn't have a single story, Quinton was shocked too. This would be the second of three films under our Drama Sign of the Reel Zodiac. That means we still have ONE more Drama before the Reel to Reel episode. • LOM Super Inframan

    04/02/2019 Duration: 02h50min

This week the Leftover Army Monsters dive into the deep end of the more absurd realms of the kaiju genre, as we are talking about the infamous 1975 Hong Kong movie, Super Inframan. Looking to cash in on the super hero tokusatsu craze in Japan, Shaw Brothers Films created this piece of work. It has been used as a shining example of how bad the genre can be for decades... but is it REALLY that bad? Or does it transcend into the "so bad it's good" spectrum? Only one way to find out. So grab yourself some nachos, because we are being heaping loads of cheese with this entry.

  • The REEL Zodiac Episode 6 - Gods and Monsters

    01/02/2019 Duration: 02h02min

The guys are joined by Melissa Sloter of Wild Pretty Things Podcast. Shawn for once doesn't have a story. Quinton was just as shocked as you. They spend the episode, discussing the film and all the parallels between this film and Frankenstein. This would be the First of Three films under the Drama Sign of The REEL Zodiac. That means we still have two more deep dives into drama before our reimagining. Also we premiere our NEW INTRO! It was done by the ever talented Jared Gafford of Comic Book HQ. • LOM Mothra

    26/01/2019 Duration: 03h41min

The 1960's is referred to as the Kaiju Boom. It was the peak of the age of giant monster movies, with several releasing each year. But before the Boom hit, there was a lull in Japan for the genre. That was until Toho came out with their newest kaiju film, and a monster that is nearly equal in popularity to Godzilla himself, MOTHRA! This week, the Leftover Army Monsters are joined by Rebecca Dahling to discuss Mothra's original solo film from 1961. Get ready for LONG tangents about the EVIL Nelson, yet another Kenny, and the country of... (clears throat) Rolisika. So grab your bug zappers and keep your closets closed as we talk about this classic Toho film

  • TFTY Punish The Refs!

    26/01/2019 Duration: 02h24min

Special Guests Michael Winkler and Quinton Taylor join Austin, David and the Old Man for a great time discussing stupid crap. They review Glass, The Punisher season 2, Polar and the new horror flick He is Out There. They even take some time to chat about bratty millennials as they compare the two Fyre documentaries on Netflix and Hulu. Talk about taking one for the team! Loads of emotional support animals in WTF news and a healthy dose of NFL rants to round out the show. So basically, a complete waste of your time...which is nice!

This is our first reimagining episode, 2019 Horror Reimagining/Recap. We are joined by Michael Winkler and Adam Templeman. • LOM Godzilla Vs Megaguirus

    19/01/2019 Duration: 03h55min

This week, the Leftover Army Monsters make a long overdue return to the Godzilla franchise! In 2001, the 2nd movie of what is called the Millennium Era was released. The Millennium era started in direct response to the poor reception of America's first attempt at the King of the Monsters. And thus, Toho started a new age for the Big G. This week, we are going deep into Godzilla vs Megaguirus. Our special guest this week, returning to the LOM Podcast is Jesse Candelori. She couldn't join us for the main recording due to an emergency, but listen all the way to the end as I have an hour long discussion with her one on one about the movie in a pickup session. Everyone please enjoy!

  • The REEL Zodiac Episode 4 - Freddy Vs Jason

    16/01/2019 Duration: 02h39min

On this episode, again the guys are not alone. They are joined by a close and personal friend of Quinton's. As always they give you a few facts about the year in question and get around to the movie, but before that Shawn talks about meeting Robert Englund (Freddy Kruger) Ken Kirzinger (Jason in this film) and Kane Hodder (Jason in the previous four Friday the 13th films) and his experiences with them. We discuss Freddy Vs Jason and all the easter eggs and homages to previous films in each series, and yes, there are a few. Shawn drops some other easter eggs along the way including information on the two failed Spin-off TV Series. This would be the third of three films under the Horror Sign of The REEL Zodiac. That means this is the last Horror movie the guys will be reviewing in full until December (we say in full because Shawn lives on horror and will be sure to link some movies back to horror films). This also means that we will do our first reimagining episode next week.

  • LOM The Host

    13/01/2019 Duration: 02h52min

This week, the Leftover Army Monsters tackle a classic kaiju movie from South Korea. Or at least we try to. Complete with tons of technical issues from the recording session, this episode was difficult to release. Hopefully it isn't so terrible that you all turn it off. But try to sit back and enjoy as we are joined by special guest Wayne Brunious as we discuss the 2007 Korean movie, The Host!

  • The REEL Zodiac Episode 3 - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

    11/01/2019 Duration: 02h16min

***DISCLAIMER*** Shawn discusses real life serial killer Ed Gein in gruesome detail!! Be warned, then the guys dive head first into the film. On this episode Quinton and Shawn are joined by Michael Winkler. The guys talk about a local Horror Con in NJ. Shawn tells a few stories about meeting Gunner Hansen. And of course the guys talk about The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. This would be the second of three films under the Horror Sign of The REEL Zodiac. That means the guys have one more Horror movie coming FOR YOU. Love the saw, for the Saw is Family.

  • TFTY 2018 Worsties

    06/01/2019 Duration: 03h07min

Time once again to gripe about the WORST parts of 2018, and boy did 2018 SUCK! But first, the Old Man and regular guest asshole Michael Winkler chat about Young Justice, Bandersnatch and the Netflix original series YOU! The Old Man finds an emotional support animal he can actually support and a new trend that is better left unseen! Finally we gripe about all the celebs we lost and the stupid crap from the past year. Who will win the coveted 2018 Worstie Award? Will Eric Wade win again? Listen and you'll find out... or not...

    05/01/2019 Duration: 01h17min

On this our first REAL episode, Quinton and Shawn are joined by a special guest Blake Britza! The three of us discuss An American Werewolf in London. Talk about how different things were in the 80s and how different things must be in London. Shawn make bad jokes, and give some interesting facts (at least we let him think they were and the guys pretended to be interested) about the film. This would be the first of three films under the Horror Sign of The REEL Zodiac. That means the guys have two more Horror movies coming FOR YOU.

  • LOM Gamera Vs Viras

    04/01/2019 Duration: 02h31min

We have MORE Kennys, MORE stock footage, MORE aliens... and less actually new fight footage. But that's okay, because we are here to help guide you through this rough ride. So sit back, relax, and listen to the dulcet tones of screaming children this week, as we talk about Gamera vs Viras!
