  • In Veritate, Episode 16: One God, One Faith

    23/11/2022 Duration: 48min

There is only one true God and He is the head of the Catholic Church. In order to be attached to Christ, one must be attached and submitted to the Catholic Church. The profession of the true faith is a prerequisite for the reception and the retention of authority within the Catholic Church. This is for two reasons: 1. The profession of faith is necessary for membership in the Catholic Church (at baptism, the sponsors answer for the baby that he/she believes in Catholic teachings). 2. The primary role of authority in the Church is to protect the Catholic faith. Secondly, there is no Church by which we can be saved except the Catholic Church. This is a teaching of Christ, Himself. Join us on this episode of In Veritate. We would like to thank Nicholas Wilton for providing the use of his sacred choral music for this show. Mr. Wilton's material can be purchased at: tutti.co.uk. • In Veritate, Episode 15: Easter Sunday

    16/11/2022 Duration: 39min

By His Resurrection, Christ proved He is truly the Son of God and therefore has the same nature as God. This silences all arguments against Our Lord. It silences all rationalists, all atheists, all agnostics, and all pagans. To gain eternal life we must believe in God and obey His will. For to be against Him would be to embrace eternal death. Bishop Sanborn then takes us through the past events of Holy Week and Our Lord’s Passion, for these events should be remembered and present in our minds, even after Lent and Easter. In this second episode on Pascendi Dominici Gregis of Pope St Pius X, His Excellency Bishop Donald Sanborn joins us to provide a commentary on this most significant of Papal encyclicals. Written to expose and condemn the doctrines of the modernists at the start of the 20th century, this encyclical is the defining document of this great Pope Saint’s life and perhaps the most important document to have proceeded from the Vatican in hundreds of years. It served as an alarm call and a condemnation of those most pernicious adversaries of the Church who seek to utterly overthrow Christianity itself. This show is the second of a total of 3 shows to be recorded on Pascendi and covers paragraphs 21 to 38. There is yet more to follow. • Season 5, From the Pulpit, Episode 40: Die to Self and Distractions

    22/06/2022 Duration: 39min

We welcome back Father Stephen McKenna to From the Pulpit. All the martyrs throughout history loved God and His Church more than their own lives. By giving their own lives, they imitated Christ as He gave His life for us. We should die to ourselves – a dying to our free will that leads us to sin. By giving our will and fighting against our passions, we save our souls. Secondly, there are so many ways of being distracted from our faith these days. Distraction comes in many forms, including focusing too much on what’s wrong in the world when we should be focusing on learning Catholicism and how to be better Catholics. Let us reject distractions and learn the Faith instead. Join us on this episode of From the Pulpit. • Season 5, In Veritate, Episode 13: Patience and Anger and The Epiphany

    08/06/2022 Duration: 41min

Patience is a bearing of evil in order that a greater good come about or in order that a greater evil be avoided. Patience and tolerance of sinners is prudent when it is in the hope of converting others. Anger, the opposite of patience, is usually sinful. Though, there is justified anger provided it is in accordance with reason. Patience with the faults is not always a virtue. It is, sometimes, necessary to use anger in order to correct faults or in order to assure the common good. Secondly, Bishop Sanborn discusses the feast of the Epiphany and how the three kings were in search for truth and spiritual gain. We all thirst for truth. The human mind constantly craves for information. There are a set of ultimate truths in our minds which direct everything. Let us be like the Magi and search for and love truth in this era of ignorance. Join us on this episode of In Veritate. We would like to thank Nicholas Wilton for providing the use of his sacred choral music for this show. Mr. Wilton's material can
