Four members of the Algonquin boys hockey team visited with host Tommy Cassell to talk about winning the Daily News Cup.   After beating Hudson in the semifinals of the Daily News Cup, the Tomahawks defeated Hopkinton in a rematch of the previous finals. A pair of twins from Westborough came into the Daily News to play mini-hockey, basketball and then do a podcast with senior multimedia journalist Tommy Cassell.   Westborough seniors Mike and Matt Doherty (twins) and sophomores Nick and Tyler Ramm (twins) talk with Tommy about their respective sports of basketball (Dohertys) and hockey (Ramms).   Mostly, the set of twins put each other down in a joking manner. Franklin High junior Ali Brigham announced her verbal commitment to play basketball at George Washington University on Dec. 4. Exactly a week later, Brigham scored a game-high 29 points in a 61-20 win over Milford.   The junior standout joined host Tommy Cassell with Franklin senior captains Bea Bondhus and Shannon Gray, and junior Megan O'Connell.   The quartet of Panthers talked basketball, volleyball and tanning tips, while also discussing a new initiative that doesn't allow basketball players to roll up their shorts this season.   At the beginning and end of the podcast, the four Franklin basketballers had some fun. On September 28, Marlborough High 2017 graduate Connor Walker could feel his legs. A day later, the Saint Anselm sophomore football player could not.   Following a spinal cord injury in a game against Southern Connecticut, Connor was rushed to the hospital when he couldn't feel or move his body. Roughly three days later, he finally regained full feeling in his upper body but still can't feel his lower half to this day.   Connor, along with his father, Robbie Walker, joined host Tommy to talk about the events of Sept. 29, the diagnosis, the rehab and now the future. Antaya, of Blackstone Valley Tech's football team join host Tommy Cassell in the studio.   The Blackstone Valley Tech football team still finds itself on the road to Gillette Stadium after its first playoff game, a 29-13 win over Assabet in the Division 7 Central semifinals. Last season, the Beavers made it to the Div. 7 Super Bowl before falling to Mashpee.   BVT is back on a revenge tour that its calling 'Rocky 2'. The Natick boys football team faced a must-win situation in its Week 3 game against Walpole, and the Redhawks took care of business with a 42-14 win over the Rebels.    A big part of that triumph was the play of sophomore quarterback Will Lederman, who had four total touchdowns. A father-son duo of Dover's Steve Ryan and Kirby Ryan joined host Tommy Cassell to discuss Dover-Sherborn football's season-opening win over Weston  –  which happens to be Tommy's alma mater  –  on Sept. 7.    Kirby is a junior quarterback and Steve is in his second year as D-S head coach, his second stint with the Raiders after coaching the team earlier this century. Four Medway soon-to-be seniors joined podcast host Tommy Cassell on Cassell's Corner podcast to talk about their interesting summer adventures and their upcoming school year.   They are Medway's Jeremy Curley, Carter Fisher, Brendan Kenney and Nathan Steinhoff and all four of them worked on Cassidy Farm this summer in Medway. The best teenage golfer in the country came on Cassell's Corner podcast to chat with host Tommy Cassell about how he got that title.   Wellesley's Michael Thorbjornsen claimed the prestigious golf tournament, coming from behind to win 1 up in the US Junior Amateur at Baltusrol Golf Club in New Jersey on July 21.   He and one of his best friend's Drew Cohen, also of Wellesley, recollect the historic July day, talk about golf in general and even take part in a sand wedge competition.
