Episodes

  • Doctor Whooch // Episode 087 // Gentlemanly Dickery

    24/03/2016 Duration: 30min

In which we turn down for butts. This week's episode follows along the River Song timeline with a little ditty called "Let's Kill Hitler" from Series 6. FUN FACT! This was the first episode Brandon watched live, which would lead him down the path to meeting Danica. Doctor Who is the best, you guys. Also on this week's episode: a deadly game of murder chicken, and a lot of singing. And a special outdo song you don't want to miss. Trust us on this one. Outro music is “Turn Down For Butts” by DJ Snake, Lil Jon and ??? Podcast picture is by GIRL NAMED SHIRL PHOTOGRAPHY. Subscribe to Doctor Whooch on iTunes

  • Doctor Whooch // Episode 086 // We Like Your Stupid Faces

    18/03/2016 Duration: 34min

In which someone pulls a Phillip K Dick move. On this week's show: we head back to Series 7 and take a "Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS" with a spaceship full of assholes. We also see various rooms from the TARDIS. And The Doctor is weirdly sexist? Or I guess more overtly. There was a thing. Many things. And drunkeness. Outro music is “Shiny Happy People” by R.E.M. • Doctor Whooch // Episode 085 // The Doctor Is A Dick In A Rocket

    10/03/2016 Duration: 30min

In which the title really speaks for itself. This week on the show, Brandon and Danica are on to the next stop in the River Song timeline: "Day of the Moon". And good news! Mark Shepard is still here. That was super nice of him to stick around and be handsome on a genre show. Beyond that, this one has a bit of everything. Singing! Weird phrasing! Dancing? Maybe. How would you even know? You wouldn't. So there. Outro music is “Man on the Moon” by R.E.M. Podcast picture is by GIRL NAMED SHIRL PHOTOGRAPHY. Subscribe to Doctor Whooch on iTunes

  • Doctor Whooch // Episode 084 // This Will All End In Teas

    03/03/2016 Duration: 32min

Preferably an Earl Grey, but we're open to options. On this week's show, Danica and Brandon head back to series 6 to watch "The Girl Who Waited". Fun fact! Brandon talks about watching this episode for the first time in crying in bed and it's not awkward. Nope. And what else. Um... oh! Rory is pretty much useless in this episode, which is weird considering he's the one who is supposedly given the big heartbreaking decision. So there's that. And also silliness! Enjoy, nerds! Outro music is “All By Myself” by John Barrowman. Yes, really. Podcast picture is by GIRL NAMED SHIRL PHOTOGRAPHY. Subscribe to Doctor Whooch on iTunes

  • Doctor Whooch // Episode 083 // I Thought It Was Utah

    26/02/2016 Duration: 37min

In which Mark Shepard is a handsome car hobo. On this week's show, Danica and Brandon revisit the timeline of River Song with "The Impossible Astronaut", which features several different version of her, and should absolutely NOT get too confusing for our drunk-as-hell podcast. Spoiler alert: Mark Shepard is on it and he is DEFINITELY AMERICAN. Also, Jim the Fish is a thing. And tunnels? And Silence. And guns. And fun. Yes. Fun. FUNNN. Outro music is SPECIFICALLY Nicki Minaj's part of "Monster"

  • Doctor Whooch // Episode 082 // Courage and Bullshit

    18/02/2016 Duration: 22min

In which Brandon watches the last episode of the Tenth Doctor episodes that he hasn't seen. Probably. It's the Olympics! Or rather, it's "Fear Her", the 11th episode of series 2.  There's a creepy child who draws a dad-satan and has a space flower in her tim-tum! And that's bad. Danica and Brandon are also really, REALLY drunk and say a bunch of things they may or may not regret. Oh well.

  • Doctor Whooch // Episode 081 // Space Babies

    12/02/2016 Duration: 33min

In which we fawn over the Last Centurion. That dude is dreamy. As. FUCK. On this week's episode, Danica and Brandon are starting a project that will take them twisting all the way through 2016: The River Song Timeline Re-Watch. Or whatever it was we said when we were drunk. If we even said anything. It all starts with "A Good Man Goes To War" (Series 6, Episode 7) and then goes straight into other things on television. Or rather, it stumbles there. We were preeeeetttty drunk, you guys. Outro music is “Formation” by Beyoncé. Podcast picture is by GIRL NAMED SHIRL PHOTOGRAPHY. Subscribe to Doctor Whooch on iTunes

  • Doctor Whooch // Episode 080 // Stop Bringing Us Down, Bruce

    04/02/2016 Duration: 28min

In which a useless man fails to do anything well. On this week's episode of Doctor Whooch, Brandon experiences an episode he has never seen before: "Love & Monsters". It's a pretty good episode until it suddenly, violently isn't. The whole thing follows a terrible man who is making a YouTube video of some kind where he talks about trying to stalk The Doctor and dancing in his underwear. Then a thing happens and things get really weird. Like... REALLY weird. You just... you kind of have to see it to believe it. Or listen to this episode. Whatever you wish. Outro music is "Mr Blue Sky" by ELO

  • Doctor Whooch // Episode 079 // 'Cuz DADS

    29/01/2016 Duration: 29min

Bye Felicia! This week on Doctor Whooch, Danica and Brandon are talking about the BIG NEWS! Moffat is out. Chibnall is in. Also, there's alcohol. AND SOUND EFFECTS. There's a lot happening in this episode, including talk about the Chris Chibnall penned episode "Dinosaurs on a Spaceship" (Series 7, Episode 2). Brian Williams is in it! Rory's dad, that is, not the news anchor. And also, terrible things are said. As always. Outro music is "Pinball Wizard"

  • Doctor Whooch // Episode 078 // UGLY CRYING

    22/01/2016 Duration: 35min

In which there are so many tears, you guys. This episode sees Brandon and Danica finish up "Torchwood: Children of Earth", so you know what that means. Ugly crying. THE UGLIEST CRYING. Also, Danica gets to punch Brandon a lot and wow, drinking for five episodes of Torchwood is some crazy business. Outro music is "Bad Kids" by The Black Lips

  • Doctor Whooch // Episode 077 // The Smell of Pregnancy

    14/01/2016 Duration: 52min

In which we're watching Torchwood again and the drinking is more appropriate. Danica and Brandon are back with their first episode of 2016 with a slurry dissection of the first two episodes of TORCHWOOD: CHILDREN OF EARTH. Or is that Children of Man? Or Men? Brandon is not good with titles, even when he is sober. There's a lot of great stuff to talk about in this episode, such as Captain Jack's complete inability to comprehend CHILDREN, but we also make time to talk about the recent SHERLOCK special where a white dude explains feminism to a room full of silent women. That'll probably go over well. Outro music is "Ghetto Superstar" by Pras featuring May & Ol' Dirty Bastard Podcast picture is by GIRL NAMED SHIRL PHOTOGRAPHY

  • Doctor Whooch // Episode 076 // A Fistful of Husbands

    31/12/2015 Duration: 52min

In which WE'RE BACK and we've FORGOTTEN HOW TO DO THIS. Remember when we were weekly? Apparently we don't. In a particularly inebriated outing, Danica and Brandon (that's us!) are talking about this year's Christmas Special - which apparently was at one point intended to be Steven Moffat's swan song? What? Anyway. "The Husbands of River Song". Rompy as hell, and tons of fun. But probably not as much fun as we had talking about it while super hammered after an... interesting Christmas. Also: The Mindy Project! Supergirl! More! And an announcement about our schedule in 2016! YES! Outro music is "Locomotion" by Kylie Minogue. No reason.

  • Doctor Whooch // Episode 075 // Reverse Polarity Chicken

    10/12/2015 Duration: 48min

In which we celebrate out 75th-ish episode the same way we always do: stumbling through our thoughts. It's Series finalé time with Clara and The Doctor as Brandon and Danica discuss "Hell Bent" - the final episode of Series 9. What did we think of Clara's re-return and good-bye? Also, all that Gallifrey stuff? And Me? We have a feeling that if you listen, you'll find out. Call it a hunch. A SEXY HUNCH. Also! With the series concluded, and the holidays approaching, we'll be taking some time off. (It is really hard getting hammered on a weekly basis when you only get one day off from work every 3 weeks or so.) You'll be able to catch our next episode before the year is over as we discuss this year's Christmas Special - and then we'll return in the new year with weekly (!) episodes and a new(ish) format. Thank you so much for sticking around for 75 episodes. Hopefully we're around for many more!

  • Doctor Whooch // Episode 074.5 // Hashtag Nailing it

    04/12/2015 Duration: 44min

In which our timing is perfect, and everyone needs to calm their shit, probably. We start with narrating Cat Life, because of COURSE we do. Then it's straight into "Heaven Sent" - the 11th episode of Doctor Who's 9th Series, which we were too drunk to get emotional about. These things happen, right? But also: Capaldi, yeah? Yeah. Then it's onwards to very VERY light spoilers regarding Jessica Jones's fight against patriarchy wearing a David Tennant suit, and general stumbling about. Yay!

  • Doctor Whooch // Episode 074 // Dead Inside (and Outside?)

    26/11/2015 Duration: 45min

In which So we all know what happens in this episode, right? Like, we're all on board? Because there's going to be some spoilers. Just... clllllll kinds of them. So. This week, Brandon and Danica are talking about "Face The Raven" - the 10th episode of Doctor Who's 9th series. Maisie Williams is there! That's not really a spoiler. Well it is, but... hey, you know what? Let's not beat around the bush here. You know why you're downloading this. You want to hear drunk people talk about the thing that happened. Well, we do! So yay? Oh, and then we wax poetic about Jessica Jones, because you guys, Jessica Jones is amazing and heartbreaking. Yeah. Outro music is "Don't Fear the Reaper" by Blue Öyster Cult.

  • Doctor Whooch // Episode 073 // Sleepingtons

    21/11/2015 Duration: 43min

To sleep, perchance to dream of a better episode. On this week's show, Danica and Brandon drunkenly talk about this week's... interesting episode of Doctor Who - Series 9, Episode 9, "Sleep No More". Basically, we kind of make fun of it, because... sleep monsters? Or maybe a legitimately viral video? Or something. We were pretty drunk. And as an added bonus, Brandon forgot to edit the podcast on his day off, so uh... there's that. Wait, is that what we call a "bonus"? Hmm.

  • Doctor Whooch // Episode 072 // Sexy Allegories or Metaphors

    12/11/2015 Duration: 57min

In which, uh... we really liked the new Doctor Who episode? Hey everyone: fun fact. It's hard to be wacky drunks when an episode of Doctor Who is so good. Which means Danica and Brandon just watched Series 9, Episode 8 (The Zygon Inversion) and it was pretty amazing. That's not to say they aren't weird and stumbling, because they are. We are. Writing in the third person is hard, you guys. Also, they talk about some other shows probably. Scandal? I think? And something else. Remembering is also hard, when you WERE drunk, and ARE sober several days later. Outro music is "War (What Is It Good For)" as performed by Cory and Topanga on Boy Meets World. Because of course it is.

  • Doctor Whooch // Episode 071 // Wife Law

    05/11/2015 Duration: 48min

In which we are brimming with allegories and metaphors, and totally know the difference between the two. This week, Brandon and Danica are watching "The Zygon Invasion" (Series 9, Episode 7 of Doctor Who) and end up being drunkenly riveted by the whole episode. I mean really, you guys - this was a crackerjack episode. There was Osgood! Jokes! Doctor Funkenstein! Seriously, what more do you want? Some Once Upon a Time chatter? Maybe. Probably not, but we don't care. WE DON'T. (We do. We love you.)

  • Doctor Whooch // Episode 070 // Me, Myself and I

    30/10/2015 Duration: 50min

In which we don't got nobody that we can depend on. On this week's episode, Danica and Brandon stumble through the hodgepodge of Doctor Who's 6th episode of Series 9 - The Woman Who Lived. It's a bit of a shambles, honestly but there's also a fire breathing space lion king, so it's not as though there wasn't anything awesome to talk about. Oh, and also, there's discussion of Once Upon A Time and The Mindy Project, because of course there is.

  • Doctor Whooch // Episode 069 // Majestic Buffalo Vodka

    23/10/2015 Duration: 43min

In which the secret ingredient is vodka. On this week's episode, Danica and Brandon are talking about the Series 9 episode "The Girl Who Died" (Episode 5) and the subject of jowls comes up. I guess. It was a long strange one. Also: lots of drinking! More talk about Once Upon A Time! And vikings! Not necessarily in that order. Outro music is "For What It's Worth" by Buffalo Springfield Podcast picture is by GIRL NAMED SHIRL PHOTOGRAPHY
