Neal joins the show to discuss the Super Bowl - Brock Purdy's contract and 49ers building their team, NBC and NFL streaming the playoff game earlier this playoffs and Neal's prediction on the game. Neal says, "I'm picking the Chiefs. I've gone against Patrick Mahomes this entire playoffs and it's cost me."

SJS Hour 2 - 02/06/2024 - Steve talks with Neal Coolong about the Super Bowl, then Steve talks about the Big Ten Player of the Week Awards in regards to last week's Northwestern-Purdue officiating debacle. How does Zach Edey deserve it over Ace Baldwin? Steve says "A game that gave you bad publicity is just compounded by the rest of the week. They fined Chris Collins (the Northwestern Coach) and gave Edey the player of the week award. It's just bringing more attention to the free throw disparity."

SJS Hour 1 - Matt Catrillo is not happy the Eagles open in Brazil ..and find out Steve is half Portuguese. Steve also spends a lot of time on the National Labor Relations Board and Dartmouth University. Dartmouth men's basketball is looking to unionize.

Bucknell coach John Griffin talks about his team's week, including Saturday's loss to American. Griffin said, "We don't want to be a results-based program. We want to be a process-based program."  Getting better means the results will take care of themselves. Griffin then previews this week's game in Annapolis with Navy.

SJS Hour 2 - 02-05-2024 - Steve discusses analytics after his class spent some time on it Monday morning. Steve says, "I use analytics in my broadcast, and numbers are part of the game, and so is analytics, but analytics don't take into account situations." Then Steve discusses Penn State wrestling, taking the opponents best shot, and how much they draw.

SJS Hour 1 - 02-05-2024 - Steve says that one question he'd ask Roger is two fold, "The second part is what do you tell the people that didn't stream the Chiefs-Dolphins or couldn't?" John Griffin then talks about Bucknell's week on the court and we spend some time at the end of the hour on Penn State's big men's basketball win

Brett Veach, GM of the Chief and Mount Carmel native, talks about the Chiefs and Super Bowl. Also, Philadelphia Inquirer's Scott Lauver on the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Kansas City Chiefs GM Brett Veach joins Steve talk about the Super Bowl and several other topics. Veach talks about Donovan Smith, how character evaluation plays a role in team building, his influences and his reactions to the Chiefs struggles. Veach says that "Our worst game of the season was on Christmas night against the Las Vegas Raiders, but it was also the turning point in our season."

SJS Show Hour 2 - 02-01-2024 - Steve talks Boston College coach Jeff Hafley taking the Packers D.C. position, and what it means for college coaches going forward. Steve says, "The NCAA created a Wild West situation because of fear of litigation." Then the King joins us for a bit to talk the Super Bowl, the Red Sox and a special surprise in the last two minutes of the show.

SJS Hour 1 02/01/2024 - Steve speaks with Kansas City GM Brett Veach, a Mount Carmel H.S. graduate, about a variety of topics. Veach says that "I probably haven't enjoyed this run like I should. There is an excitement with reaching the first Super Bowl, but last year there is a lot of anxiety, and this year it's even more." Then we talk about Big Ten men's basketball officiating after Northwestern Coach Chris Collins' meltdown in overtime Wednesday against Purdue

SJS Hour 2 - 01/31/2024 - Steve talks Florida State and ACC suing each other over TV contracts. Steve says, "FSU signed the grant of rights not just once, but twice. I think that's going to hurt their case." Then we talk about the news of Tennessee and Virginia suing NCAA over NIL guidelines after it was announced the NCAA is investigating Tennessee.

SJS Hour 1 - With Steve at Shoot around - Todd continues the talk about youth and high school sports the issues surrounding it. Then we talk a little good news in high school sports. Later we talk about Joel Embiid injury and New Seahawks coach.

Neal Coolong joins us to talk the Steelers hiring Arthur Smith. Coolong says, "It very similar to when the Steelers hired Todd Haley, who was the best offensive coordinator in recent Steelers history. They were both failed head coaches fired in the middle of season whose hirings were maligned."

On 3/sports.com and Blue White Illustrated Nate Bauer joins the show to talk the Penn State men's basketball team. Bauer says, "When their mojo is working, the (Penn State) D is awesome, but when they miss jumpers, and can't get into the press, they get run over in the halfcourt."

SJS Hour 2 - Steve talks to Neal Coolong about the Steelers hiring Arthur Smith as offensive coordinator and personnel versus scheme. After the break, Steve continues his thought on personnel vs. scheme, then some talk about Geno Auriemma coaching AAU basketball.

SJS Hour 1 - 01-30-2024 - Steve is joined by Matt Catrillo to talk San Diego hiring Jim Harbaugh, and the Eagles new coordinators. Then On3.com/Blue White Illustrated's Nate Bauer talks Penn State men's basketball.

Bucknell coach John Griffin III joins the show talk about the Bison's last week. Griffin says that they've been making winning plays in the final five minutes. "Those could not committing turnovers, making shots, or even just getting defensive stops on back-to-back possessions."

SJS - Hour 2 -01-29-2024 - Steve continues his thoughts on the Ravens. Then we discuss Dan Campbell's 4th-down decisions against the 49ers. Steve says that "He agrees with the first time Campbell went for it, but the second time he should have taken the points to tie the game." Then Steve talks about Ed Sidwell, a Penn State graduate and PA announcer that passed away last week at 88, along with former Penn State player Milos Bogetic, who passed from cancer.

SJS Hour 2 - 01-29-2024 - Steve talks about Penn State's loss to Minnesota on Saturday night with a football analogy, Steve says, "The PSU men's basketball team is like a football team with a good pass rush with bad back 7.
