NASCAR on Fox's Bob Pockrass joins the show to discuss the upcoming NASCAR season and the 2024 Daytona 500 on Sunday. Bob tells us the keys to winning on Sunday. Steve and Bob then discuss his thoughts on the upcoming season: storylines to watch, drivers to keep an eye on and maybe driver the could step into a starring role this season.

SJS Hour 2 - 02-15-2024 - Steve wonders why women's basketball is jealous of Caitlin Clark. Steve says, "For a sport that has fought since the 80s from every inch of coverage, now Clark is giving them feet and miles of coverage know. Why are some of older stars cutting her down?" We also talk about Penn State's winter workouts from the defensive side, a bit on Julian Fleming

SJS Hour  1 - NASCAR on Fox's Bob Pockrass joins the show to preview the 2024 NASCAR season and talk about Sunday's Daytona 500. Then Steve talks NBA expansion and Vegas, and offensive weights after a couple of weeks of Penn State winter workouts.

Nate joins Steve to discuss the Penn State football press conference from Tuesday with Coach James Franklin, new special teams coordinator Justin Lustig and the 2nd-year players. Find out what winter workout all the players hate. Franklin's thoughts on Big Ten and SEC commissioners looking at college football issues and a view from 30,000-feet on the state of college sports with Nate and Steve.

SJS Hour 2  - 02-14-2024 - Steve talks Penn State football players at the combine, listening and talking at Penn State Pro Day, and how it relates to his classes and teaching his students. Then we talk the possible expansion of the NCAA men's Tournament and the Big Ten Tournament being only 15 of 18 teams. Steve says that Big Ten Tournament decision, "Will be a coach killer."

SJS Hour 1 02-14-2024 - Steve talks new CFP TV deal with ESPN, and what could the schedule look like for the 12-team playoff. Then Nate Bauer of on3.com/Blue White Illustrated to discuss James Franklin's press conference on Tuesday. His thoughts on what gleaned from it, and then a view on college football from 30,000-feet.

Neal joins us to give his thoughts on the conversation Steve and Ray Didinger started on Monday. Neal says, "The NFL is run by a league of lawyers, and make the rules like a defense attorney would."

SJS Show Hour 2 - Neal Coolong talks the state of the NFL, gives us some of his thoughts. Then Steve talks Penn State wrestling. Steve says, "Are the Nittany Lions in wrestling like the late 40s Notre Dame teams. People used to say the best football team in the country back then was Notre Dame and the No. 2-team might have been the Fighting Irish's back ups. Can we say the same about the Penn State wrestling team after beating Rutgers on Monday night?"

SJS Hour 1 - 02-13-2024 - Matt Catrillo joins us for his rants of the week. Then Steve talks about having a work/life balance, and about learning himself about not working so much.

Pro Football Hall of Fame writer Ray Didinger talks with Steve about the Super Bowl, what make Mahomes great, the new overtime rule, and then Steve and Ray discuss the state of the NFL. Ray says, "Why are we worrying about growing the game globally, when there are plenty of things that need fixed in the game?"

SJS Hour 2 - 02-12-2024 - Football Hall of Fame sports writer Ray Didinger joins Steve to talk the Super Bowl, what make Mahomes great and the state of the NFL. Steve then talks gambling. Steve says, "I've done this forever - football and basketball - and gambling on it is crazy."

SJS Hour 1 - 02-12-2024 - Steve talks the Super Bowl, including Shanahan's decision to kickoff in OT. Steve says that his experience in college football overtime with both teams getting a shot, "I've never seen a coach not play defense first. You then know what you have to do to win the game if you have the ball second."

SJS Hour 2 - 02-09-2024 - Steve talks Chip Kelly leaving UCLA to become Ohio State's offensive coordinator, and how much it surprises. Then the King calls in to talk the Taylor Swift, Super Bowl pick and prop bets for the Super Bowl.

SJS Hour 1 02-09-2024 - Steve talks Penn State men's basketball win over Iowa, "Penn State outscored Iowa from the two lines - 3-point and foul line - by 41 points. If you do that,  you usually win 7 of 10 games." Then we discuss the NFL Hall of Fame, and who got in.

SJS Show Hour 2 - Steve tells some golf stories and the chutter, then we discuss Caitlyn Clark's impact on Big Ten road attendance.

SJS Hour 1 - 02-08-2024 - Steve talks about analytics, then we discuss Hank Aaron vs. Barry Bonds in the clutch...Then Geno Auriemma won his 1,200th game on Wednesday night. Steve said, "(Women's basketball) was a sport that struggled to find an audience, and now it's at the point where 9 million people watched the NCAA Championship game last year."

ESPN's Tim Kurkijan on 02-07-2024: Tim join us to talk about the new ownership of the Baltimore Orioles and what it means to Baltimore. Then Tim tells about Juan Soto and the Yankees; the stadium situation of the Oakland A's and the Tampa Bay Rays; and the greatness of Jose Altuve.

On3Sports.com/Blue White Illustrated's Greg Pickel talks Penn State wrestling and a variety of topics. Greg talks about last week's Ohio State meet and what the Nittany Lions have learned. The in-season competition at 149 pounds, Aaron Brooks move up to 197; this week's meet with Iowa and Monday's match in the BJC with Rutgers.  

SJS Hour 2 - 02-07-2024 - Steve talks some NIL after a caller - Ed from Hanover - sparks an interesting conversation. Steve tries to clear up some of Ed's questions about NIL.
