After every week of action, we will get you caught up on all the conference’s games and look ahead at the matchups, storylines, and players that you should be paying attention to in the next week. My name is Jordan Williams, and I am joined by my co-host Dante Morgan. After a brief hiatus, the guys are back, but the football gods did not bless them with a heavy news cycle. Instead, the Big Ten has been relatively quiet the past few weeks. With multiple significant decisions still to be made, the conference has instead gone dark. There has yet to be any news on the search for the new commissioner, and there is still much to be decided on regarding the structure of the television deal, namely which games will be on which network this fall. We’re waiting for news on the new scheduling model and the permanent opponents for each team. In other news, Maryland hired former Michiga

08/03/2023 Duration: 41minBucketheads’ is the only men’s basketball-focused podcast in the LGHL family of podcasts, co-hosts Connor Lemons and Justin Golba give the latest scoop on the Ohio State Buckeyes as well as all the other happenings in the college hoops world. ‘Bucketheads’ will be released every Thursday morning throughout the regular season. During episode 69 (nice) of our men’s basketball podcast, Connor and Justin dissect the Big Ten Tournament bracket and take their guesses at how far Ohio State will advance. One of our cohosts think the Buckeyes will win a game before bowing out in round two. The other....is a bite more optimistic. Then they make their picks for a winner, as well as break down which bubble teams will need one win or more to solidify a spot in the NCAA Tournament. Michigan probably needs two wins, while Rutgers may need one — mathematically, this won’t work out for both parties. Wisconsin absolutely needs to beat Ohio State to get into the tournament, and Penn State could use a win against seven-seed Illi

Following Ohio State’s 84-78 loss to the Michigan State Spartans Saturday afternoon in East Lansing, we were able to speak with Brice Sensabaugh, Justice Sueing, and Ohio State head coach Chris Holtmann about the loss. Despite the loss, all three seemed confident and ready for a potentially long week in Chicago. Sensabaugh started and felt he made poor decisions in the first half and took some questionable shots. He said he took better shots in the second half, and that the team’s toughness and resolve showed when they pushed the Spartans to the final minute despite trailing by 13 at one point. Sueing echoed Sensabaugh’s confidence in his team’s ability to always stay in a ballgame. He also noted that their defense on the perimeter was lacking at times, while the emotions of Senior Day may have also helped MSU’s confidence. Holtmann praised Sueing

Then we turn to the Buckeyes at the NFL combine, the keys to their success, and why this weekend is always important for the program. We start with one of the players with the most to prove at the combine, and then we get into why we’re mad about Zach Harrison not participating. After the break we get into additional combine stories including C.J. Stroud’s hand size measurements. Then we project how fast Jaxon Smith-Njigba and why to somebody with eyes, his forty time should not matter in his evaluation. We continue the discussion with some talk about the

02/03/2023 Duration: 32minThroughout the year, Land-Grant Holy Land will be bringing you uncut audio primarily from Ohio State press conferences, but also from individual interview sessions. Following Ohio State’s 73-62 win over No. 21 Maryland Wednesday night, we spoke with Justice Sueing, Isaac Likekele, Sean McNeil, Chris Holtmann, and Maryland coach Kevin Willard (kind of) about the game. Willard walked into the press conference, realized only one Maryland reporter traveled to Columbus for the game, and promptly walked out. He blew off the first question, half answered two more questions over the next 90 seconds, and then got up and left. We then spoke to the seniors — Sueing, McNeil, and Likekele. All three players talked about their families and being grateful their families were able to make it to Wednesday night’s game — Likekele’s family traveled from Texas and Sueing’s from Hawaii. They also talked about the growth of Ohio State’s freshmen but did not want to talk about the Big Ten Tournament with another game coming up at M

LGHL Uncut: Bruce Thornton Confirms Ohio State is Where He Wants to Be Following Illinois Win
27/02/2023 Duration: 40minThroughout the year, Land-Grant Holy Land will be bringing you uncut audio primarily from Ohio State press conferences, but also from individual interview sessions. After Ohio State’s 72-60 victory over Illinois on Sunday (open the fridges!), we spoke with Chris Holtmann, Brad Underwood, Justice Sueing, and Bruce Thornton about the win, which snapped a nine-game losing streak. Thornton reaffirmed that this is where he wants to be — which should settle down any talk or cynical rumblings of Ohio State’s freshman point guard transferring. He also said that when you “stack good days” wins are eventually going to come, even if they have not been lately. Underwood was as surly as you’d expect after losing to the 13th-place team in the Big Ten. He said that the loss had nothing to do with Ohio State’s defense and everything with his team’s shot selection. Underwood also said that he’s getting close to just telling some of his guys to stop shooting three-pointers, at all costs. Holtmann gave a lot of credit to Sueing

LGHL Uncut Podcast: Coach McGuff and Mikesell discuss a disappointing defeat to Maryland (2/25)
25/02/2023 Duration: 13minThroughout the year, Land-Grant Holy Land will be bringing you uncut audio primarily from Ohio State press conferences, but also from individual interview sessions. On the final day of the regular season, the Ohio State women's basketball team looked like the team they were going into the 2023 calendar. Instead of a lopsided double-digit loss to a Big Ten team for the fifth time this season, the Buckeyes played to the last second against the No. 7 Terrapins, ultimately falling 76-74. After the defeat, head coach Kevin McGuff and guard Taylor Mikesell spoke to the media. Breaking down the game, coach McGuff talked about the game going down to the visitors making one more play than the Buckeyes. Also, if free throw shooting was anywhere close to average it would've been a different story. McGuff also shares what he said to the team following the loss and what Mikesell means to the program in her short time in it, with Friday also being senior night for the graduate senior. Then, Mikesell addresses the competiti

25/02/2023 Duration: 36minThroughout the year, Land-Grant Holy Land will be bringing you uncut audio primarily from Ohio State press conferences, but also from individual interview sessions. Following a back-and-forth, entertaining game in Columbus that saw Penn State ultimately prevail 75-71, we spoke with Chris Holtmann, Micah Shrewsberry, Bruce Thornton, and Brice Sensabaugh. The players led off, with Sensabaugh discussing the task of guarding Jalen Pickett and Thornton saying that the work “isn’t for nothing” and that even if wins aren’t coming, he feels like they are better now than they were. Shrewsberry, like almost every coach before him who has handed Ohio State a loss recently, took time to talk about Holtmann’s coaching ability and defend his peer. He said to “get that nonsense out of my face” with the “nonsense” assumedly being the calls to fire Holtmann after a disastrous season. Finally, Ohio State’s head coach discussed the task of guarding Pickett as well. He said that, although the Buckeyes operated well on offense,

Buck Off Podcast: Notre Dame is broke, Alabama is a fourth option school, and other national stories
24/02/2023 Duration: 01h53minOn today’s episode of “Buck Off with Christopher Renne,” I’m joined by Jordan Williams get into everything but Ohio State on this episode. We obviously circle everything back to the Buckeyes though on our national show. We start the episode with the biggest conversation topic across recruiting message boards with NIL. The conversation starts with our expectations surrounding NIL in the future, and a big reason the crazy collectives might have a glass ceiling placed by programs around the country. Then our attention turns towards the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and their offseason failures. We get into their failures that have occurred since Brian Kelly, losing Tommy Rees making them a stepping stone job, and them not paying for the offensive coordinator Marcus Freeman wanted. This one is for our Irish fan friends who don’t take football as seriously as the big time programs. After that, we get into what’s going on in the Southeastern Conference. Florida has lost three assistants in as many days. With Florida th

During episode 67 of Bucketheads, the guys discuss Zed Key’s injury status, as the junior big man will now have season-ending shoulder surgery. They discuss some of the misguided hate Key gets from a small sub-section of the Ohio State fanbase, and how his being compromised contributed to the Buckeyes’ season snowballing out of control. They also talked about the ongoing situation at the University of Alabama, after news broke this week that star freshman Brandon Miller was present when a teammate fatally shot a young woman in Tuscaloosa. Other topics that were hit include Michigan State’s emotional win over Indiana this week following a tragedy on their campus, which Ohio State players
