Over the last month, Michigan has landed four recruits including two from Ohio and a five-star quarterback. Jordan Marshall, the no. 91-ranked recruit in the 2024 class, committed to Michigan making him the first top 100 recruits in the state of Ohio to commit to Michigan since 2013. Michigan followed this up by landing a low-rated Ohio offensive tackle and finally secured the commitment of five-star quarterback Jadyn Davis who has flirted with a Michigan commitment for almost a year. Spring football practices are underway as the team looks to develop in its off-season approach to the annual Ohio State Spring Game glorified practice. We discuss some of the new numbers that a few of the Buckeyes will be wearing this fall. Another topic of interest in this episode is the fallout from the NFL Combine, where C.J. Stroud may have helped himself relative to the competition to be the first quarterback selected. In a game where the Buckeyes head the lead until 2:09 remaining in the fourth quarter, Ohio State became the team that stopped the comeback instead of needing one themselves in a 71-69 win. After a Sweet Sixteen run in 2022, the Buckeyes opened up their 2023 campaign with a visit from the Sun Belt Conference’s James Madison Dukes. After an 80-66 victory, coach Kevin McGuff, forward Cotie McMahon and guard Jacy Sheldon spoke with the media. McMahon discussed the 16-point comeback and what the team was thinking as they were down and how there wasn’t panic setting in. Also, the freshman’s first NCAA Tournament game in her career and the frustration causing her late technical foul.
