The horror continues as Ruben and Producer James watch yet another Marvel anime based on a horror property. Except this time there's not too much that makes it feel like a Marvel story. So join Dr. Frankenstein.... I mean Dr. Franken..... and Igor.... actually Zukel.... on this strange blend of genres all in one TV anime movie.

The adventure continues with a live record from Retcon. Special guests Nick Idell from Alleycat Comics and Stasia DeMaio from Pop Culture Role Call join our mild mannered hosts to watch the first big blockbuster sequel in our list. Plenty to discuss in this "Man of Steel" sized episode.

Keeping on that anime train we watched "Dracula: Sovereign of the Damned", but instead of based on a manga this one is based on "The Tomb of Dracula" from Marvel Comics. Be prepared for too many subplots that lead nowhere, too many characters that are unnecessary, and no real semblance of a likeable character in the whole bunch. On the plus side, it's not too long.

We are finishing up the 70's with another movie based on a manga and it's a double whammy for Producer James as this is his first foray into the world of Miyazaki as well. Buckle up for some exciting heist action in "The Castle of Cagliostro" based on the manga Lupin III.

Reb Brown returns as the Star-Spangled Avenger in this TV-movie that shows even more so why this TV series never made it off the ground. Get ready for some motorcycle tricks, awkward music stings, and painting random cats.

Captain America returns for this 1979 TV movie that is the closest we have seen to the real Cap. We talk extensive driving scenes, minimal fighting and holding onto a sheild for no good reason. With questionable costume choices and villains without much drive this movie is sure something to behold.

Look... up in the sky.... an actual good movie. Ruben and Producer James discuss the merits of this iconic film and how it completely changes the scene for blockbuster movies being based on comics.

Meanwhile... is back with new, exciting changes. Joined now by co-host Ruben Rosario we start with the 1978 TV movie Doctor Strange. Full of bizarre music, special effects, and hospital drama this may not have been the most exciting movie to come back with.

Continuing with the pattern of TV movies that later became pilots for their shows we venture on to "The Incredible Hulk" one of the more popular comic book tv shows for the uninitiated. Special guest Tom Whipps joins James to discuss the utterly dissapointing strength of the Hulk.

Buckle up for the Spider-Man's first live action appearance in the 1977 TV Movie "Spider-Man." Spider-Expert Jim Silas-Moore and Alleycat Comics' Nick Idell sit down with James to discuss this hilariously awkard take on our favorite wall crawler.

Live action Wonder Woman take two. This time starring the legendary Lynda Carter. Special guests Mike Richko, Anastasia DeMaio, and Collin McCord from Pop Culture Role call stop by to watch the TV movie that would lead the way to the most iconic iteration of Wonder Woman to date.

FilmMonthly's Ruben Rosario returns for the sequel to the hit revenge movie Lady Snowblood. Love Song of Vengeance is a manga movie that keeps it's manga roots on it's sleeve. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? Only one way to find out.

Wonder Woman makes her first live-action appearance in this 1974 TV movie starring Cathy Lee Crosby. Joined by Rachel Goffinet from Excessive Enthusiasm host James Thompson gets through this strange experience with a blonde Wonder Woman spy with no super powers and "invisible" jet.

The epic saga of Lone Wolf and Cub comes to a thrilling conclusion in White Heaven in Hell. Our favorite Grizzled Santa throws everything he has at the wandering assassin in the movie that has the highest body count caused by an individual. Special guest Meghan Thompson returns from the first Lone Wolf and Cub to see how it ends.

In this special episode of Meanwhile... I had a discussion with Bubbawheat from FilmWHYS and the hosts of 24 Panels Per Second, Dave Babbitt and Dru Jeffries. The subject being the question "What is a Comic Book Movie?"

Lady Snowblood is the mother of revenge movies being the major influence on Kill Bill. Luckily for us it's based on a manga. FilmMonthly's Ruben Rosario lends some insight into the manga, the movie, the culture, and the history of this wonderful film.

Because one horror anthology isn't enough Alleycat Comics' own Nick Idell returns for The Vault of Horror. Five men find themselves in a room full of scotch to discuss the dreams that they had the previous night. This delightful romp includes many life lessons such as co-owning a business with the undead, being rude to ghosts in foreign countries,  and how to live with a life-long bachelor. This movie has it all and pre-Doctor Who Tom Baker with a fantastic beard.

Special Guest Rhodrick Magsino from Acronaut Games joins James to watch the 5th installment from the Lone Wolf and Cub. Lone Wolf is business as usual as he must defeat 5 messengers to gain the all the information for his job. As Cub gets into some shenanigans with a pickpocket named Quick-Change. A feel good bloody samurai movie for the whole family.
