For nearly two decades Christopher Nolan has been thrilling cinema audiences with bold, audacious films. Blockbusters like The Dark Knight, Inception, and this year's Dunkirk are the product of an incredible filmmaker at the top of his craft. On this week's edition of FYC, Mike and Dustin will be taking a look at Nolan's first theatrical release, 2000's ambitious noir thriller, Memento. This week on FYC we tackle Pier Paolo Pasolini's horrific 1975 art film, Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom. The film which purports to explore the themes of political corruption, abuse of power, sadism, perversion, sexuality and fascism was extremely controversial upon its release and remains banned in several countries to this day. Join Mike and Dustin as they sit down to talk about Salò and ponder how a film with torture, humiliation, fascism, feces, all-bets-are-off sex, naked people everywhere and crazy, rich Italian fetishists could be such a complete snorefest.

On this week's installment of For Your Consideration we tackle Russ Meyer's classic 1965 exploitation film, Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! John Waters has made no secret of the fact that he considers it to be the greatest film ever made but what will Dustin and Mike think of the film? Will it be deemed a masterpiece or a museum piece? You will have to check out the episode to find out.

On August 11, 1964, A Hard Day's Night was released in the U.S. and we couldn't have asked for better timing as our latest episode features Mike and Dustin discussing the classic musical comedy that brought The Beatles to the silver screen. Will the Fab Four's film be deemed a masterpiece or museum piece? Strap yourselves in because this ride's about to get bumpy!

It's a thin line between stupid and clever and on this week's episode of FYC, Mike and Dustin intend to find it while taking a look at Rob Reiner's 1984 classic rock mockumentary, This Is Spinal Tap! This week we're giving another episode from the archives the full-on Redux treatment as we rediscover and represent our conversation on Mike Nichols' 1967 classic dramedy, The Graduate (originally released 03/28/2016).

This week's episode of FYC is a special memorial episode in honour of George A. Romero, a filmmaker we sadly lost this past July 16th and whom was responsible for the seminal horror classic, Night of the Living Dead. Although Romero was behind many film and television projects during his lifetime he is probably best known for the six zombie films he made starting with 1968's Night of the Living Dead and ending with Survival of the Dead in 2009. Since two of Romero's films made it on to the Sight & Sound list of the greatest films of all time (Night of as well as Dawn of the Dead) hosts Dustin and Mike decided to discuss the movie that started it all for the writer/director as well as recount some Romero memories. In this installment of ICYWC... we take a look at the 2013 found footage horror film, The Bell Witch Haunting. The movie, released by Asylum and directed by Glenn Miller, is yet another cinematic misfire that your intrepid host, Dustin Friesenhan, has subjected himself to and encapsulated the experience in this FYC microcast so you never have to endure the pain and suffering of watching it for yourself.

This week FYC brings you another installment of All Things Considered, our open review, conversation, and commentary show where Mike and Dustin choose four films they have seen recently and bring them to the table for discussion. In a new microcast spin-off of FYC, host Dustin Friesenhan subjects himself to a number of extreme, transgressive, art house, and exploitation films so you don't have to! All of these films fall firmly into the very hard to watch variety and Dustin takes one for the team, breaks them down, and lets you know what is worthwhile and what is a waste of time. This inaugural episode of ICYWC... features the 1987 West German horror exploitation film co-written and directed by Jörg Buttgereit, Nekromantik. The story revolves around an alienated man (Daktari Lorenz) who brings home a decomposing corpse for his overly critical (and necrophiliac) girlfriend.

Hosts Mike and Dustin return with another episode of All Things Considered, the open review show where we cover anything and everything that catches our interest on the cinema landscape. For this episode the discussion revolves around Sony's 2016 Ghostbusters revival, Yūdai Yamaguchi's 2003 Baseball Battlefield, Ari Folman's 2008 Lebanon war memoir/documentary, Waltz With Bashir, and Peter Jackson's infamous 1989 puppet fiasco, Meet the Feebles.

On this first episode of Sound Considerations, a new sister podcast to FYC looking at movie music and film scores, host Mike Jozic takes a deep dive into Jed Kurzel's moody and atmospheric soundtrack for the latest installment in the sci-fi/horror franchise, Alien: Covenant.

With Twin Peaks returning to television screens this month, we wanted to spotlight one of David Lynch's seminal films and there are few better than to look at his debut feature. Join us as we take a deep dive into the surreal psycho-sexual landscape of Eraserhead!

On the latest episode of FYC, hosts Mike and Dustin are joined by guest commentator, Cat McDonald, to discuss the first part of Peter Jackson's 2001 epic and groundbreaking film trilogy, The Lord of the Rings. We went a little long this time out but considering the length of the film it should come as no surprise that our conversation would be no less epic. And while the one ring may have brought us together and bound us in our own little fellowship we give the film no quarter and ask the hard questions as to whether or not The Fellowship of the Ring should be considered one of the greatest films of all time.
