On this week's installment of FYC we are revisiting an oldie but goodie from the archives in a newly tweaked Redux episode featuring the 1939 classic, Gone With the Wind.

This week, Mike and Dustin celebrate FYC's first anniversary with a double sized extravaganza episode featuring a brief look back on the highs and lows of year one, as well as a year-end roundup of the best films they saw in 2016. 

A few days ago one of the masters of horror and suspense, John Carpenter, celebrated his 69th birthday and we here at FYC are celebrating with a look at his classic 1982 sci-fi/thriller, The Thing! Listen in as Dustin and Mike break down all the things they think work, or what doesn't, about the film and make their determination as to whether it deserves to be considered a true masterpiece of cinema.

Check out the last episode of FYC for 2016 featuring Frank Capra's 1946 classic, It's a Wonderful Life. Hosts Mike and Dustin take a moment to discuss what it would be like if this film never existed and determine whether or not it should be classified as a masterpiece or a museum piece. 

On this week's episode of FYC your hosts, Mike and Dustin, take some time to sit down and really look at Chris Marker's 1962 28 minute photo-roman, La Jetée. The film is highly regarded , incredibly influential, and is the shortest selection in Sight and Sound's top 50 Greatest Films of All Time. Also, the first (but possibly not last) time we discuss a film of this length on the show.

Join us for an animated new episode of FYC as Mike and Dustin sit down to discuss the 1995 Disney/Pixar film, Toy Story. With the election now behind us we thought it timely to look at the film with its topical themes of intolerance, maintaining the status quo, fear of the other, and stifling imagination, which may not be the way you remember the film but may be the way you look at it from here on out.

Week five of FYC's Fright Fest sees the return of All Things Considered to the fold and introduces our first annual Anthology of Horror to the show! Everybody knows that you can't properly celebrate the season without watching a few scary movies and in this episode, hosts Dustin and Mike pick 6 Halloween flicks that are currently available on Netflix and talk a little bit about why they think you should be checking one, or all of them, out this October 31st. So turn down the lights, pull the shades, and hang with us as we chat about this year's horrific half dozen including the likes of It Follows, Evil Dead, Sinister, The Human Centipede, The Possession, and The ABCs of Death 2.

Week four of FYC's October Fright Fest is in full effect! This time around, fearless co-hosts, Mike and Dustin, tackle the John Carpenter and Rob Zombie versions of the legendary horror film, Halloween. Will the remake overshadow the original? Will Carpenter and Zombie ever get along? Check out the final compare and contrast episode of the podcast to find out these answers and more.

The October Fright Fest continues on FYC with Wes Craven's classic horror film, A Nightmare On Elm Street, and its 2010 remake by director Samuel Bayer. Join hosts Dustin and Mike as they do a little dream analysis comparing and contrasting the two films in week three of our Halloween themed episodes.

October on FYC just keeps getting better as Fright Fest continues. For its second week, hosts Mike and Dustin take a hard look at another classic horror and its remake, Tobe Hooper and Marcus Nispel's respective versions of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Will Leatherface fare better in their eyes than Jason? You'll have to listen in to find out the final verdict.

This week on FYC we kick off the first of our senses-shattering October Fright Fest series of episodes where hosts, Dustin and Mike, look at the original and remake entries to a number of popular horror franchises and discuss their longevity, the differences between the two versions of the films, and whether or not we think they're any good. Week One features the Voorhees family appearing in the 1980 cult classic, Friday the 13th, and its 2009 reboot.

This week's episode of FYC features Dustin and Mike taking on the Oscar-winning 2004 sci-fi/romantic dramedy, Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. Directed by the ever versatile, Michel Gondry, and penned by screenwriter, Charlie Kaufman, the film deals with concepts of love, loss, memory, regret, and destiny spurring on a lively conversation about its themes and, ultimately, the answer to the burning question: is Eternal Sunshine a masterpiece or a museum piece?

Introducing newly cut Redux episodes of FYC! To fill in the hiatus weeks where we have no original content we've decided to reissue older episodes from the FYC catalogue with some cosmetic improvements. This week we give the 1942 Humphrey Bogart film, Casablanca, the Redux treatment which was previously broadcast on February 20, 2016.

Welcome back FYC listeners for another great episode of your favourite film commentary podcast. FYC is very pleased to bring you the show featuring the film you were least expecting to see, 1990's cult-classic horror, Troll 2. That's right. We were just as surprised as you to find ourselves sitting down and putting Claudio Fragasso's visionary tale of druids, ghosts, and vegetarian goblins under the ol' FYC hotlamps but we really wanted to pay off a throwaway joke we made in our very first episode and this is the result. This week on FYC, your intrepid hosts get their 27b/6 forms in order and pay a visit to the wonderful dystopian bureaucracy of Terry Gilliam's 1985 film, Brazil.
