After the rape and murder of her cousin in 1988, Love began a quest to learn self-defense but nothing stuck. Lori Brown-Wirth retired in 2018 from the University of Wyoming to write her memoirs.  Lori had her 2-year old son stolen and taken to Iran during the infamous Iranian hostage crisis in 1980, and later worked with Nicaraguan refugees in Costa Rica. At a later point of despair in her life, she turned to drugs and alcohol for solace. She soon discovered recovery, and went on to fulfill lifelong goals, work with teenagers helping them to prepare for college, and eventually aid in the return of her long-lost son. The book details these events and discusses her journey from a shy, insecure young girl in an abusive relationship, to the strong, confident, and caring woman she is today. Due to allegations of abuse in the book, she wrote her autobiography, Papas With Ponytails, under the pen name Alexandra Flowers. Meet Samantha Keith who is a weight loss coach . She went from couch potato to marathon runner in her 40's. She now has numerous marathons under her belt and looking for more to compete in.
