He is on tour from Cuba to promote his new release Un Día Cualquiera. This recording is a forceful statement with Harold leading his tight-knit Cuban band. The album nods to classic Cuban composers and musicians but it focuses mostly on pianist Harold López-Nussa’s original compositions and his distinctive trio concept. The trio features younger brother Ruy López-Nussa on drums and percussion, and bassist Gaston Joya – the same group the pianist first debuted a decade ago in Cuba. Harold’s 2016 debut album on Mack Avenue reached No. 1 on iTunes Jazz and No. 2 on the Amazon Jazz chart. Rialto Cinemas Sebastopol Wednesday, September 26th, 2018 @ 6:30 pm A 2013 Sundance Film Festival winner, this film was co-produced by Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal, who also stars in the film. Bernal gained international notoriety when he played the young revolutionary Che Guevara in “The Motorcycle Diaries.” In the documentary, Bernal joins migrant travelers as he retraces the steps of ‘Dayani Cristal’ who walked from his home in Central America and into the Sonora Desert “corridor of death” while attempting to reach the United States. The film is being presented by West County Rapid Response Network which is the West Sonoma County arm of the North Bay Rapid Response Network organized in recent months to provide assistance to the estimated 38,000 undocumented immigrants living in Sonoma County.     Old Grove Festival Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve Saturday, September 15th, 2018 @ 4:30 pm – 9:30 pm The Annual Old Grove Festival, Pickin' in the Woods, takes place at the historic Redwood Forest Theater in Armstrong Redwoods SNR in September. This beautiful open-air theatre was built in the 1930s.
