Paul gives instruction to young men. These instructions are very important because they prepare young men to bring the Gospel into the next generation.

Paul teaches older women to teach young women to be good wives. To love their husbands and children and other things. This is important because it will stabilize the family.

Older women are to reverent in their behavior, Not malicious gossips, not alcoholics. They should be teachers of younger women.

Older men need to be sound in faith, love and perseverance.

Paul tells Titus some things that are fitting for sound doctrine. Old men need to have self control, worthy of respect and sensible in their thinking.

What is being pure? Paul says to the pure all things are pure. What does that mean?

Paul describes the Cretan people to Titus. This was not a very nice description. Titus needed to know who he was ministering to. +

Paul begins to instruct Titus about false teacher. They are rebellious with nothing to say. They are self deceived.

The last two requirements for being an elder are they need to control themselves and they need to hold fast the faithful Word. Their duties are to exhort and refute those who do not.

An elder must have saved thinking, live righteous and have holy judgments

Three more qualification for being an elder. Not desiring shameful gain, hospitable to brother who are strangers, loving what is good.

Four more qualification for an elder. Not self pleasing or self willed, not quick tempered, Not an alcoholic and not a person looking for a fight.

Three more qualification of an elder. Not accused of wastefulness or rebellion and above reproach as God's manager.

What is an elder? The first three qualifications of an elder. Above reproach, husband of one wife and children who are believers.

Titus is an apostle. He was sent to set the church in Crete in order and appoint elders.

A important thing to understand in our life of faith is God's timing. That is the subject of this podcast.

As a believer we have hope that our lives are eternal. This hope is based on the fact that God cannot lie.
