Paul is assuming that there are a group of things already in the church in Philippi. These things are encouragement, love, fellowship, affection and compassion.

We must all be prepared to suffer for Christ. Paul is preparing the church to suffer. This is very essential for us today.

Overcome intimidation by having one spirit and one mind set on the faith of the Gospel. Courage is a sing to unbelievers and believer.

Paul has 2 desires for the Philippians. One is that they stand firm in their unity with one another. The other is that they work together for the faith of the Gospel.

Paul makes his decision, he will remain for the sake of the Philippians and for others. This shows the love that Paul had for others.

Paul is under pressure to make a decision. He has a passion to be with Christ. He also knows that he can help others.

Paul knew that if he chose to live that the outcome would be fruitful labor. We cannot produce fruit in heaven.

This is the most powerful verse in Philippians. Paul tells us of the personal decision he must make. To live or to die.

How do we receive the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, or the grace gift we have been given. Through mental thinking or expectation and hope.

Paul knows that this will turn out for his deliverance. It will turn out that way because of the prayers of the Philippians and because of what the Holy Spirit provides.

Paul's amazing answer to competition in preaching the Gospel. I will rejoice because the Christ is being proclaimed.

The wrong motive for preaching the Gospel is selfish ambition. People wanted to compete with Paul in preaching the Gospel.

A self sacrificing love should be the motive for proclaiming the Gospel. Paul was defending this Gospel.

Paul writes about motivation for preaching the Gospel. Some are motivated with jealousy and others with strife. There are some who want the everyone to hear the Gospel.

Paul begins to write about preaching the Gospel. Circumstances cannot stop the Gospel. God can use circumstances to make us more effective.

When we love as Paul tells us to we begin to produce the fruit of righteousness. This brings glory and praise to God

When we love with a self sacrificing love things change inside of us. We begin to approve or test what is genuine and real.

Paul's desire for the Philippian church is that their love will continue to grow. Love does not just happen. It starts with a decision.

When participate with each in the Gospel Jesus becomes even more emotional over you.

Because of their partnership in the Gospel Paul and church Philippi are receiving the grace of God.
