The breastplate of faith and love guards our hearts in the days before Christ's return. The hope of salvation guards our minds and keeps us form fear.

The people who are asleep are unaware of what is happening. They are in darkness. Believers are in the light. We should be aware of what is happening.

Are you asleep? Paul tells us to be awake and sober. What does that mean as we approach the return of Christ.

Believers will know that the day of the Lord is coming. Instantly, we will be gone but the world will enter a time of trouble like it has never seen.

The day of the Lord will come upon earth like a thief in the night. The world will be saying peace and safety but suddenly there will be destruction.

Paul has taught the Thessalonians about the day of the Lord. They know about the chronological days and seasons of the day of the Lord.

The words of first Thessalonians 4:13-18 should be shared with other believers. They will comfort them in times of trouble. This life as we know it is temporary but there is an eternity for us all.

For those believers who are alive, we will be reunited with those who have died in Christ. Together we will be untied with the Lord.

The Lord is coming personally to escort us and other believers home. He is not coming in silence! He is coming with a loud and clear call for us to join Him.

This is the Lord teaching through Paul, those who are alive until Jesus comes will not precede or go before those who have died in Christ. We are going together to meet Him!

The condition for having hope is that we believe in Jesus' death and resurrection. Do you have that hope? If not, you can have it.

What does the Bible say about grieving? We do not grieve like an unbeliever because we have hope.

What happens to a believer when they die. As believers we should not be ignorant of this.

we need to live with other believers by respecting them and living in silence with them. We need to mind our own business in the Body of Christ and work with our hands. Then we will treat those believers who we do not know with properly and there will be no need in the Body of Christ.

Practicing loving those who are brothers in faith is something that needs to continue. It cannot stand still, it must keep moving forward in an abundant way.

Sanctification is also loving the brethren. The love of the brethren comes when we love with unconditional and self sacrificing love. That is the love that only God can give. It is our foundation.

God's purpose for our lives is that we be sanctified or made holy, spirit, soul and body. Not living a holy life is in resistance to God's best for you.

Sexual immorality is going beyond the moral boundary that God has set. It is also taking advantage of someone or exploiting them. This must be stopped in the life of a believer.

Do not allow your bodies to participate in out of controlled passion. Let your passion be within the covenant of marriage.

How can a person overcome sexual sin? By possessing or controlling their bodies. The two ways of doing that are setting your bodies apart from sexual sin and honoring your bodies.
