The evidence of salvation is righteous living. Our righteousness comes because the seed (Jesus) is abiding in us and bringing His righteousness out of us. You are what is inside of you!

The way you can determine if a person is true or false is by looking at their lives. What do they practice?

Jesus came to take way sin. No one who lives in Him continues to sin. No one who has seen Him and knows Him continues to sin.

Hope causes us to purify ourselves. On the other hand people who continue to sin are lawless and they do what they want.

We are children of God. When Jesus appears we will be like Him. Knowing Him makes us more and more like Him until we see Him.

The love that the Father has given to us has made us children of God.

If we abide in Christ, we will have confidence at His coming. We will not be ashamed. If we abide in Christ, we take on His righteousness in our daily lives.

The anointing teaches through two channels. An anointed teacher can teach you but also the anointing can teach you as you abide in God's Word

The people who try to deceive believer try to get them to not believe God's promise of eternal life. Beware of anyone who tells you that you don't have eternal life

The responsibility of the believer is to let the teaching they have heard from the beginning abide and live inside of them.

We know the Truth because the Anointed One lives inside of us. The anti-Christ denies that Jesus is the Christ.

The Anti-Christ is coming. But there are many anti-christs in the world already.

None of the things of the world are from God. Only the things we do according to the will of God live forever. Everything else is temporal.

There are three things that make up the world's system. The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life.

Do not give yourself to the world or to its things. You cannot mix love for the world and the love of the Father.

John speaks in past tense about the three levels of spiritual growth. The little children have known the Father, the fathers have known God, and young men are victorious.

John gives us three levels of development as a believer. Little children know their sins are forgiven, Young men defeat the devil and fathers know God.

It is not what you say but what you do. John gives us a way to determine if a person is in the light. Do they hate people?
