We can love those we see when we love God who we cannot see. When we love God we show we have the ability to love others unconditionally.

The only way we can love with agape love is by first having God love us. When we realize His great love we can love others!

As Christ is so are we in this world. We can do what Christ did because he did everything in love. His love abides in us, we can do what He did because of love.

Perfect love is in us. So love can flow from us. God abides in us and we abide in God. God is love.

God abides on the inside of us and we abide in God if we confess that Jesus is God's Son. This gives us the ability to love as God does.

We are indebted to love one another. Not in our own strengthen but by the power of the Holy Spirit in us.

John gives us a picture of love by describing to us the love of God.

God is love! His love is expressed in our lives when we allow Jesus to flow through us. It is impossible to express the love of God without Jesus in us.

The love test. The question we should ask ourselves is this, “Do they love with an unconditional love?” The answer will reveal whether they are from God.

A key to knowing what is true or false is ask yourself what are they listening or adhering to. If they listen to the Word they are from God if not they are from the world.

Because we are from God we have the victory! There are two contrasting forces, one is God and His kingdom and the other is the world and its system.

The way we know what I false is by knowing intimately what is true.

Don't believe everything you hear. Tests the spirits. There are many false prophets.

There are two commandments that John mentions, to believe on the Name of the Lord Jesus and to love one another.

Confidence before God is evidence that a person loves. This confidence causes our prayers to be answered.

When we love we know that we are in the truth and we have assurance as we stand before Him.

How does the love of God abide in us? John continues his teaching on the evidence of truth is love. Don't love with your words but with your actions and truth.

Jesus is our example of love. He laid down His life for us. If we love the brethren we lay down our lives for them.

How do we absolutely know that we have passed from death? By loving the brethren, Love is an evidence of the change in our lives of passing from death to life.

Why do the unrighteous hate the righteous? Because of our righteousness. We should expect the world to hate us.
