Keeping or guarding the words of Jesus will effect our lives. We will be like Him as walk this earth.

In order to know that we have a relationship with Jesus we need to keep His commandments

Not only do we have an advocate but we also have an offering. Jesus' offering appeased the anger of God.

John addresses Christians in this letter. He tells us if we sin we have and advocate. An advocate is someone who stands for us. Jesus is our advocate.

If we say we have not sinned we call God a lair. His word in us will show us what we are.

If we say we don't have sin we are deceiving ourselves but if you confess our sins Jesus no only forgives us but also cleanses us.

Walking in he light as Jesus does will cause sin's power to be broken over you.

You need to walk the talk. You can't say you have fellowship with God and walk in darkness. God is always light.

Complete joy comes from three areas of fellowship. Fellowship with each other, with the Father and with His Son.

Jesus has been manifested John has seen him, testified about Him and proclaimed him. Who Jesus is is the bases for our fellowship.

Jesus is described as eternal. Yet He has been heard, seen, closely examined, and touched.

This is an introduction into first John. It is very important to know the background into this book.

Paul requests prayer from the Roman church. In this request Paul teaches several things about prayer.

The offering was the fruit of the churches in Macedonia and Achaia. Expect the fullness of the blessing of Christ.

We must support Israel. Israel is the roots of our spiritual lives. Macedonian and Achaia are pleased to send an offering to the saints in Jerusalem.

Paul tells the Romans that he has preached to all these regions and will stop on his way to Spain. Spain had not heard the Gospel at this time.

Paul aspires to preach the Gospel to people who have not heard. That is why Paul has not come to Rome.

Paul is confident because he realizes that it is Christ who flows through him to reach the Gentiles with a message that changes lives.

Paul speaks of his ministry to the Gentiles. Paul is minister of Jesus Christ and a priest of the Gospel of Christ.
