John talks about the good report he has received about Gaius. Gaius was walking in the truth and was faithful in accomplishing things in the brethren.

This is the introduction to third John. John is writing a letter to Gaius. John prays for Gaius that he would prosper and be in good health as his soul prospers

John teaches us how to treat deceivers. Don't let them in your house, do not greet them.

Watch out for deceivers, they are trying to take your reward by adding to the teachings of Christ.

There are many deceivers that are in the world. The most dangerous deception is that which is sprinkle with truth. Jesus is coming again in the flesh!

John tells us the this lady's children are walking in truth. Then he gives her a commandment. Love one another.

John speaks of truth. He loves this lady in truth, others love her in truth and the truth is in her and with us. Truth is important

This is an introduction into Second John. John is writing this letter to a chosen woman in the church. This woman has had a great affect on the lives of the believers.

Our knowledge that Jesus is the Son of God opens the door for us to know God and His Son Jesus in a intimate way.

As believers there are three things that we have knowledge of. We know that no one who is born of God continues in sin. Sins stops at our confession of it. We also know that we are of God.

God has a standard of righteousness that we cannot attain to. So we need Jesus to exchange His righteousness for our sins

What do we do when we see a brother continuing in sin? We pray and ask God for life.

Confidence comes from knowing that we have eternal life. Knowing comes from believing that Jesus is the Son of God.

The testimony that God gives is that we have eternal life. This life in found in His Son. If you don't believe you don't have the life of God in you.

Those who refuse to believe, call God a liar. Those who believe have the testimony of God in them.

Jesus was born of water and blood. He is Jesus the Christ. He was born of a virgin with the Blood of his heavenly Father.

We overcome the world because of what we believe. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God!

The way we overcome the world's system is by using our faith in the fact that God is in us. His DNA is on the inside of every believe. Faith releases that DNA and consequently we overcome the world.

We show that we love God's children by keeping His commandments. The commands of God are not burdensome because we love Him.

When we believe or trust in Jesus as being our Messiah, deliver, savior we have the DNA of God inside of us. We can love our brother because of this.
