Morning Manna

In today's episode I share a great Uber ride experience and the challenge and encouragement I received from it. Let's roll! (For those who would like to learn more about this man, his name is George Gilder. He has authored many books that you can find on Amazon)

When you first hear the words, "wise guy", you may think about some mafia types of people. But in today's Morning Manna, I want to encourage you to be a wise guy... a wise woman. God's wisdom is infinite and He wants to give that to you as you seek Him. His wisdom is found in his Word. There are so many in today's world who are acting like fools but today... be a wise guy.

If you asked me when I was a high school student in Miami what I feared the most, I would tell you sharks. I was a surfer and at times we would see sharks in the water and it frightened me. What frightens you today? What creates fear for you today? Psalm 56:3 has a solution for all of our fears - "Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You."

"This is your Captain speaking." No, I'm not your Captain but I am challening you with a mission this week that has a specific focus for each day. Are you ready? Let's go!

We pass through alot of stuff in our lives but we don't do it alone. Let's talk about it on today's Morning Manna.

We're all a little needy at some point right? Today I'm encouraged by a powerful promise in God's Word. Phillipians 4:19 - " And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." This is a promise you and I can bank on today!

Joy is powerful. Joy is healing and medicinal to the struggles we face. Joy is life changing and strengthening. Joy is a game changer in dark times. Let's talk about it on today's Morning Manna.

Ever wonder how the story will end? Does your faith wain at times in the waiting? I'm so encouraged by today's passage from Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 - Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man’s all. For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil. Be strong today and trust Him.

There’s just too much noise today! There’s just too much movement! Have you ever wondered how some Christians can be going through the worst pain and suffering and still they have joy? It’s because they are being still. They put all their worries in God’s hands. Let's hit the pause button today and be still in God's presence.

So many in today's world pursue being good enough or do just enough to get by. That's not our God given purpose. I can remember my Mom and Dad saying; "Son, if its worth doing, its worth doing right. Ecclesiastes 9:10 says; "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might..." Let's talk about it on today's Morning Manna.

David knew what it was to deal with enemies and struggles. His solution has to cry and sing out to His God. That's my challenge to us today. He is our strength and our shield. Let's pour out our hearts to Him today.

There is nobody like our God. He is surely one of a kind. There is no other God and no one who loves us like He does. He is precious like gold and His power and plans for us are unmatched anwhere. Make Him your focus today.

One of my favorite TV shows of all time was Mission Impossible. I also enjoyed all the movies that came from that show as well. Sure... a lot of things may seem impossible but with God all things are possible. Be encouraged today as you face whatever your facing and remember... "Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Mark 9:23

I love what Psalm 30:5 says; "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." Joy is always coming! You may not see it right now but it is on the way!

Luke 6:35 says; "But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High." Sounds a little challenging doesn't it, but that's not the whole verse. What till you hear the last sentence in this verse. Oh my!

A friend of mine posted this on social media... "If serving is below you, then leadership is beyond you." If you want joy today, it will come not in excercising your leadship skills, but in finding ways to serve others. Let's talk about it on today's Morning Manna.

I love the encouragment that Romans 15:13 give to us... "Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." I know in my own life there have been times when hopelessness sneaks into my mind and heart but... you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free and the truth is that our God is the God of all hope.

Proverbs 13:20 says; He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed. Who you choose as friends... who you walk with... will determine either your wisdom or your foolishness. Let's talk about it on today's Morning Manna.

Today's YouVersion Verse of the Day is Psalm 105:1 - Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples! Have you ever had a problem, perhaps you were out of gas and had a flat tire and needed to call someone for help? Of course you have. Let's remember that in troubled times, the most important call we can make is to our Heavenly Father.

Over the years of my life songs and their words having been inspiring to me. Songs like The Old Rugged Cross, What a Friend We Have In Jesus, How Great Thou Art and Great Is Thy Faithfulness. My Dad's favorite hymn was In the Garden. In today's episode I'm going to share you the story behind the song, "I Have Decided to Follow Jesus. It will inspire you today.
