Morning Manna

Many times we may struggle with feeling powerless and defeated but there is a weapon that we have that will demolish those feelings. The power of praise is where we move through those situations with a focus on God and His power that is available to us. Let's talk about it on today's Morning Manna.

Sing Bruce... have you ever heard me sing? Listen, God just says, "Make a joyful noise" so sing anyway. There's power in the singing and especially in times of trouble like we're facing. So... SING!

My father was a fireman with the City of Miami. I loved hearing his stories of rescue and fire fighting. They inspired me to help others. When they would enter into a burning structure they would cry out... "Fire department! Call out!" We too have someone we need to call out to and not just when we're in danger.

Did you ever have an 8 track tape? Did you ever have an 8 track tape player in your car? I did and in today's Morning Manna I've going to share with you a powerful part of my testimony and an 8 track tape that moved me forward in my walk with Christ.

I remember a little song I learned in Sunday School while growing up. "I will make you fishers of men, fishers, of men, fishers of men. I will make you fishers of men and I'll follow you." In Matther 4:19 Jesus said; “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” I question then comes to mine... If I'm not fishing for men, am I following Christ? Password protection is important right? At least 2 or 3 times a day I get a message from a friend who said they'd been hacked. Two factor authentication can be very helpful and I've got a spiritual application for that in today's Morning Manna. Are you ready?

This world is always changing. If you watch the news in the morning, it will be different in the evening. As you face the daily storms that come your way, keep your focus on Jesus. We are inseperable from our Heavenly Father. Nothing... absolutely nothing can seperate us from Him.

Bitterness is poison to our soul. It would rob you of your joy and steal your peace. God knows about it and has a way to deal with it. He will take you from the bitterness to a place of victory if you trust Him. Let's talk about it on today's Morning Manna.

‘But’ is a conjunction used to introduce something contrasting with what has already been mentioned. Using the word ‘but’ in the middle of a sentence can negate everything that came before it. This is critical in communication with your husband and wife. But... the most powerful and wise use of the word is found in the words of Jesus... We understand the familiar saying—stuck between a rock and a hard place. And that’s where Moses and the people of Israel found themselves when they got trapped between Pharaoh’s army and the Red Sea. That's when God gave this word through Moses, "The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” Today we need to do the same thing. We need to hold onto our peace.

Every been in the pit... you know those pit-itful, discouraging times and situations? Joseph surely understood the pit when his brothers dropped him in a pit and sold him to the Midianites as a slave. But who is the real boss of the pit? Let's talk about it on today's Morning Manna.

Anger is a powerful emotion that obviously can hurt ourselves and others. It leads to bad decisions, damaged relationships, stress, and physical sickness. Let's talk about it on today's Morning Manna.

Simply put, Biblical joy is choosing to respond to external circumstances with inner contentment and satisfaction, because we know that God will use these experiences to accomplish His work in and through our lives. Joy is a choice!

Every morning the first thing I say to God is, "This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it. We must start everyday with determination and a positive spirit and attitude. We need this because as sure as the sun rises, our enemy will try to move us from our focus on our Father and put it on other things. Our feelings will tell us we’re not strong enough, the enemies lies will tell us to give up, our thoughts may convince us it’s too much to overcome, but faith says, in all circumstances, God is greater! Let's talk about it in today's Morning Manna.

Psalm 23 is, perhaps, one of the best-known passages in Scripture, and, like many familiar texts, we often pass over beautiful nuggets of truth because we’ve heard the words so often. I think this is true of this phrase from verse 4 - Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Life can be complicating for sure but there are times when we ourselves are the ones creating the complication.
