Morning Manna

In Luke 23:34 Jesus said; “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” I believe that is what Jesus wants to do today... to focus on forgiveness. Holding grudges and bitterness against others, regardless of their motivation and understanding, will crush you. Forgive them!

I love the 23rd Psalm and am focusing today verse 4 - Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Fears can be real or imaginary but God's presence overwhelms them all.

I had such a great blessing to meet in person with digital friends with people I serve with at Lifechurch. Monte and Elaine are such a blessing. I want to encourage you today to embrace those friendships in your life and especially to BE that difference making friend to someone today.

I love the words of Jesus in John 14:27 - Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Let these words speak peace over you today. We have His peace so let's dwell in that today.

Did you know that the number 5 is the number of grace? Well I've got a fiver for you today from Psalm 34:4-8. Let's start this new week with a focus on Him today.

I love the promise of Jesus in Revelation 3:20 - Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. Jesus is knocking. Can you hear his voice? Will you open the door today? It will be a game changer in every way of your life today.

Countenance is defined as appearance, especially the look or expression of the face. Our countenance can reveal our joy and confidence in God or the anxiety and worries within. Let's talk about it on today's Morning Manna.

What does it mean to seek God’s kingdom first? Can we really battle worry and anxiety by shifting our focus and thoughts on him and ignoring worry as it swirls around us?  Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Make your focus today on Jesus and His purpose and plan for your life... not worries and fears.

In today's episode I share some personal lessons I learned and applied during my experience with Covid. No matter what challenges you face, God's truth and presence will make a difference. Problems come, And Yet... we need to set our hearts and minds on God's truth and presence. You can’t always change your circumstances. But you can change your perspective.

I love the old 1969 Kurt Kaiser song, "Pass It On." Paul writes to the Philippian church in Philippines 4:1-9 about things he want them to pass on from his life and teaching. Let's talk about it on today's Morning Manna.

I love it when during the middle of the night, God brings a verse to mind. It's so comforting when He does that and it underscores again the importance of memorizing, hiding His Word in our hearts. Isaiah 59:19 - When the enemy comes in like a flood,The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.

In Matthew 10:16 as Jesus is sending out His disciples for the first time, he says this -  “Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves." While these are certainly challenging days that we are living in, this instruction is as important and powerful for us today.

There is such power and restoration when we are thankful for all God has done in our lives. Focus today on thanksgiving and not the challenges. In today's episode I share David's Song of Thanksgiving in 1 Chronicles 16.

I love the Sermon on Mount. It's inspiring, convicting and moving. Spend some time reading and meditating on it today. It's message is needed more today than ever.

When the Bible speaks of waiting, it’s an entirely different thing than what we do after we take a number at the motor vehicle department. Biblical waiting is not a passive activity, but is demonstrated by active dependence upon and obedience to God.

I live the challenge that God gives his children as they enter into the Promised Land. They've faced many challenges and trials but now they have the opportunity to make a powerful choice between life or death. "This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life… .” Deut. 30

God has a purpose and plan for our lives today. "But now, O Lord, You are our Father;We are the clay, and You our potter;" Isaiah 64:8 And all we are the work of Your hand. He is the Potter and we the clay. Be moldable in His hands today. Say to Him today... "Have thine own way."

I'm so encouraged by the promise of our Saviour Jesus about his soon coming. He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Revelation 22:20

I today's episode I share my recent experience with illness and how God has brought me through it. The passage that He encouraged me with is Psalm 56:3-4  What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
