Morning Manna

2 Samuel 1:27 says, “How the mighty have fallen, and the weapons of war perished!” We are surrounded by voices telling us that every frustration should be vented, every grievance aired, and every thought expressed. But God does not agree. Let's talk about it on today's Morning Manna.

Life isn't always peachy. There's the good and the bad... the blessings and the challenges. Paul said this in Philippians 4:11–12: “Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. 1 Samuel 22:2 - “And everyone who was in distress, everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was discontented gathered to him. So he became captain over them. And there were about four hundred men with him.” While this verse speaks of King David, let us today bring our challenges to King Jesus.

Galatians 5:22–23 says this... “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.” Let's talk about this fruit in today's Morning Manna.

Today is Memorial Day in the US. It's a day that we honor those who gave their lives for our country. Today I honor two of my classmates in my graduating class at Miami Norland Senior High who gave it all. Today's verse of the day says this... Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. That's our mission today.
