  • Panthers Fall To Vegas 3-2 In Game 4, Trail 3-1 Once Again

    On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brings in Florida Panthers Historian Francisco Oporta(@fjojr) to break down the Panthers 3-2 loss in Game 4 against the Vegas Golden Knights in Sunrise. Panthers went down as much as 3-0 in the middle of the second period. Panthers breakdown in the first half of the game was a bit of a Hill to climb as they were not getting to the front of the net until it was too little too late. It was a penalty free game for the most part until the very end. Panthers dealt with line numerous line changes on the night to get something going, along with losing both Anthony Duclair and Matthew Tkachuk for a period of time on the night. Vegas was faster to pucks, and Bobrovsky helped the Panthers come back in this one as they cut it to as much as 3-2 in the 2nd period when Barkov scored in the 3rd. The Panthers went out to an early lead in Game 3, but despite Bobrovsky keeping the Panthers in the game, Panthers were struggling with staying out of the box and could not take the eyes away from Adin Hill, that was not until the Panthers tied the game late in the 3rd to force OT by Matthew Tkachuk scoring with the extra attacker on the rebound. 4:27 into OT, Carter Verhaeghe send the crowd home happy with an OT winner from the high slot with traffic in front. The Panthers dealt with much adversity in the game where Tkachuk had to go down the tunnel due the leagues mandated concussion protocol, eventually came back, and with having to kill a key penalty as Overtime began without giving up a SOG.
