  • Episode 4: C2NextGen Conference

    05/05/2018 Duration: 17min

This is the 4th episode of Adulting IRL with Jerlyn. I just attended the #C2NextGen Conference in NYC held by ColorComm and I’m excited to have gone. I’m just catching up briefly about what has happened in the past weeks including my first HR experience, taking a video course with Adobe about PremiereCC and considering whether I should use Audition CC for my podcast edits. At C2NextGen we had speakers like Michelle Lee. Michelle Lee is Editor in Chief on Allure. We also heard from Gayle King. Both insisted that women of color be visible. Once again, discussed the importance of Self-Care. Also, Adulting IRL is proud to mention Tiux.co who sponsors Jerlyn. Tiux (pronounced tē-oo) is a Yao word that means “to run, jump.” Tiux is founded in Vancouver, Canada, and creates premium compression socks to help athletes perform their best, reduce muscle fatigue and recover faster. • Episode 3: Interview with my friend Chris from Germany!

    17/04/2018 Duration: 18min

This is the 3rd episode of Adulting IRL with Jerlyn. I'm interviewing my friend Chris from Germany. He talks about his super cool job as an Economist/Professor/Researcher, his country's perspective on the US, his travels and what he would tell his 14-year-old self. I want to thank Chris for helping me figure out podcasting as I go. I learned how to set up the Skype Call with Soundflower and recording a channel into GarageBand. I also had a separate channel for my microphone. I'm using a Blue Yeti https://amzn.to/2qDfmxG. Also, Adulting IRL is proud to mention Tiux.co who sponsors Jerlyn. • Episode 2: The Importance of Setting Goals

    08/04/2018 Duration: 19min

This is the 2nd episode of Adulting IRL with Jerlyn. This time I'm talking about the Importance of Setting Goals. Setting long and short-term goals helps fuel your ambition, holds you accountable and makes the impossible possible. We mention the SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time-Bound) ways of goal-setting and how it applies to me signing up for my first half-ironman triathlon. I learned some goal setting from mindtools.com and codeofliving.com. I'm still figuring out this podcasting thing so bear with me as I ensure that I'm getting sound and producing right.  Download the 52 Week Challenge: http://bit.ly/2EsOKEH Also, Adulting IRL is proud to mention Tiux.co who sponsors Jerlyn. Tiux (pronounced tē-oo) is a Yao word that means “to run, jump.” Tiux is founded in Vancouver, Canada, and creates premium compression socks to help athletes perform their best, reduce muscle fatigue and recover faster.
