Better Together

For the first episode of "Better Together", ONE Project Scholars Sierra Kochersperger (Hopewell Valley Central High School), Travis Prekop (Hamilton High School West), and Emma Bennett (Robbinsville High School) visited Mercer Street Friends Food Bank in Ewing, New Jersey. Mercer Street Friends Food Bank channels 2.7 million pounds of food and groceries annually to a network of 80 local food pantries, shelters, soup kitchens, meal sites, schools, senior and disabled programs and low-income housing sites. They had the opportunity to tour the facilities, organize donations, and then sit down with Brian Peterson, the Manager of Special Projects and Volunteers, to discuss his path to helping so many.
