The Newark Trust for Education held a forum open to the public for candidates in the 2018 Newark Public Schools Board of Education election. The event took place at the Robeson Center at Rutgers University in Newark on April 3, 2018.          

On April 5, 2017, the Newark Trust for Education sponsored a forum for 13 candidates vying for three seats on the Newark Public Schools Advisory Board. The event was held at Express Newark in the Hahne & Co. building.

The Newark Trust for Education held a forum for Newark Public Schools Advisory Board candidates on Tuesday, April 14.  Six candidates attended the forum to answer questions about the issues facing Newark Public Schools, which has been under state control since 1995.
