When a random call is made... Kristin and Don Sheldon come together on this week's show. Don runs Valley Stage Productions and manages a number of unique music groups. Dan Cox, owner and President of Coffee Enterprises, talks to Kristin about how learning racquetball leads to meeting someone that takes him on a coffee journey. A journey which will go around the world, and he will become one of the foremost authorities on coffee. Dan has been an expert speaker on coffee for Fox, ABC, NPR, and many other stages sharing his knowledge of coffee. The journey will lead him to be part of Green Mountain Coffee Roasters which was on the forefront of high-end coffee production, and then, to open Coffee Enterprises consulting on the coffee business. But, this is not by any means the end. As Dan continues his foray into the java world, he is pushed into coffee extracts by Ben & Jerry of ice cream fame. And, on one trip to connect Ben & Jerry's with the coffee growers directly, Dan takes the family friend who taught him how to play racquetball and opens his eyes to the problem of cervical cancer amongst the population of coffee producers. After the loss of his wife to cancer and looking for ways to heal, Glen receives a text message that steers his course into blending his passion for sailing and his desire to help those who have cancer.
