What travesty or injustice or brokenness in the world is God speaking to you about changing? There are two ways we can live our lives, generously or greedily. We'll discover how Jesus calls us to live out generosity in all areas of our lives.

The quality of my life is determined by the quality of my relationships. Loneliness is an epidemic today and the only way to overcome loneliness is quality relationships.

If we are going to grow this year, how will that happen? We grow through our commitments. But we can't just make commitments we have to follow through on them and grow in consistency. However, we make commitments and become super consistent we can still grow stale, get in a rut and plateau in our growth. That's why we occasionally have to add challenges to our routine. Challenges shake things up and get us on a growth track again!

Give more but not meaningless presents, give more to those in need. Jesus came and brought the gift of eternal life; let's not diminish that by just giving temporal gifts that have no meaning. Let's give more...more hope, give more to those in need, give more to world missions, give more to our community

The bible clearly spells out how to handle many decisions we face but what do we do when the bible isn't really clear on a course of action? Do you have people in your life that love God, love you, and love the church and can give you wise counsel? Do you seek God for advice on how to respond to life's daily struggles?

Bold faith can look pretty foolish, but obedience to God is the key to overcoming opposition.

No matter your past, you can be used greatly by God.

God doesn't give us courageous faith to put on display like a trophy, but as a tool/weapon to follow God into overwhelming odds against us.

Strong faith isn't instantaneous, it is developed through the process of obedience and faith in small circumstances. What are you doing today that will give you courageous faith tomorrow? Practice obedience in the smaller things of life so you can stand tall during the biggest tests that are sure to come later.

neighboring requires focus and intentionality. We can't help everyone, and if we try to we will end up helping no one. Part of neighboring is putting and keeping God at the center of our lives. In doing so, we will be able to say no to some good things as we discover the better things that God has in store for us.

Part of being a good neighbor is not turning people into projects. Relationships are give and take. This means that to form relationships, I need to also be vulnerable enough to let my needs be known. But pride often keeps us in isolation and prevents us from really developing meaningful relationships.

Being a neighbor is hard work and will require intentionality. Who has time to neighbor? What if I don't like my neighbor? In this message I hope to give practical tips to overcoming some of the fears that people have about neighboring and building relationships with others.

This opening message focused on the importance of community and highlighting our core value of "relationships, I was made to belong" I will introduce the idea of neighboring and getting to know the people around us; in our neighborhoods AND in our church family. But this series will also focus on outreach and how investing in the neighbors that we have is an effective way to share the love of Jesus in our community.

When Jesus was praying in the garden he was sweating blood, really stressed out, and worried about what was going to happen next. He prayed "“Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.” The moments that lead to this were filled with prayer and seeking God's will. The big question is, how can we do more than just know God's will? How can we fall in love with it? How do we get to a place where we are praying it's not what I want but it's what you want God? We will look at how Jesus, God Himself, got there.
