In the opening sermon of a series through the book of Nehemiah, Pastor Derek Holmes looks at the burden Nehemiah felt when hearing about the broken state of God's people and the walls of Jerusalem. As a man living his whole life in exile, Nehemiah could have distanced himself from the pain, but Nehemiah had eyes to see the brokenness, a burden for the people, a passionate prayer and a willingness to go.

In this message, Pastor Derek Holmes picks up in Ephesians 6:10-11 to look at the fact that the spiritual warfare cannot be waged in the power of physical flesh. It much be waged in the power of the Spirit. As verse 10 says, "Be strengthened in the Lord and His vast strength." Derek looks at the many places in scripture where God fought the battle for His people.

In the first sermon of our series on Spiritual Warfare, Pastor Chris Rieber looks at the importance of understanding that the spiritual realm is very real, and there is an enemy opposed to Christ and all who follow Him. Ephesians 6 invites us to be serious about this truth and know our enemy and his tactics well, but to also stand courageously, knowing our victory in Christ is already secured.

Repentance is a concept we don't always think about, but should on a regular basis. No one likes to admit they're wrong, but for the child of God, the opportunity to repent is a call to agree with God about our sin and fall upon His grace and forgiveness to restore our relationship with Him. In Part 1 of this series, Pastor Derek Holmes looks at how restoration and blessing cannot flow unless repentance is present.

In part 3 of a three part look at walking in the fear of the Lord, Pastor Chris looks at the importance of walking in the fear of God rather than in the fear of the wicked.
