Briarwood Girls

Class Prophecy.  The girls finish their time at Briarwood College. They look back and take stock of their college careers.  They also look forward and try to predict how each of their will make her way in the world.

Adventure of the Lamp and Discoveries. The girls welcome Rosalind back into the fold.  They find some of their lost possessions, but Alison makes a horrifying discovery about her lamp.  Marcia may not be causing trouble at school any longer.

Without Leave and In Miss Harland's Office. Marcia and Rosalind become good friends.  Marcia talks Rosalind into going to a party with her AWOL.  This leads to disaster. Marcia has to start covering her tracks.

Essays and Essays, The Tangled Skein, and  Mysteries. Miss Burnett assigns an essay writing contest.  The girls all work on their essays and some of them work harder and do better than others.  Miss Burnett is a little surprised at two of the essays and investigates how they were written.  Also, some of the girls' possessions are missing.

Briarwood College and Some of the Girls. The girls return to Briarwood College at the end of the summer and settle in.  There's a new teacher and a new student.  The new student doesn't seem very friendly.

The Kindred Spirits are a group of 7 friends who met in their freshman year at Briarwood College.  They experience all sorts of difficulties during their sophomore year.  Allison won't be able to come back to school because she can't afford it.  A new girls arrives at school and doesn't fit in.  Other troubles and triumphs happen to the girls.  This is a charming young adult novel writting in the early 1930s about young college women of the time.
