Episodes

  • Episode 14: Creating an emergency medicine clerkship

    18/06/2019 Duration: 33min

In this episode we discuss the very small task of how to create and design an emergency medicine clerkship.  I know this is not small at all. It is an enormous topic. But thankfully I have two guests to help me wade through this.  We have Dr. David Manthey, Professor of Emergency Medicine and the Medical Decision Making Thread Director at Wake Forest School of Medicine and Dr. Nicholas Kman, Director Part 3/Med 4 Academic Program and a Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Ohio State College.  And they have very cleverly distilled the approach to creating and/or designing a clerkship into a 5 step approach.  Is this everything you need to know? Absolutely not. But if you are stuck and looking for a place to start this will point you in the right direction.
