On 13 February 2025 Goalball UK published their Impact and Progress Report for 2024 with some great achievements for the sport too.  RNIB Connect Radio’s Toby Davey was joined by Mark winder, Chief Executive of Goalball UK for a summary of some of the highlights from their 2024 Impact and Progress Report, a bit of a reminder about what Goalball is, how Goalball UK will be celebrating their 15 year anniversary on 26 February 2025 and a mention of the LA Paralympic Games in 2028 too. This February, the Cambridgeshire-based Fen Tigers goalball club will host the first qualifying round of the 2025 European Club Goalball Champions League competition. Each year, Sailing Vision, runs a yachting week on the South Coast of England. They encourage blind and partially sighted people to come along and try their hand at sailing along the picturesque coastline and you can be a complete novice with no sailing experience. Stephen Clegg is a multi medal winning Paralympic swimmer and spoke to RNIB Connect Radio’s Allan Russell about the benefits that come from participating in sport and physical activity.
