Ever thought of giving surfing a go? Well, Surfing England has some visually impaired surf sessions coming up in August and September and you could join them in the water for a fun day of learning how to surf. ParalympicsGB recently announced the Chef de Mission for the upcoming 2028 Paralympics in Los Angeles.  Hywel Davies has been speaking with Penny Briscoe CBE about the importance of her role and the work that’s already begun in the lead-up to the LA games. Our Daivd Hogg finds out about a devices that can make watching live football much more accessible for blind and partially sighted fans…

On the 14th June Scottish Disability Sport (SDS), supported by The Motability Scheme, are hosting a national exhibition for people with a disability to find out what sports and physical activities they can get involved in. There will be opportunities to meet new people, learn about schemes and organisations that can offer support, and educational opportunities for people without disabilities to learn about inclusive practise and ways to make society more accessible. It’s taking place from 10 am to 4pm at the University of Stirling and Amelia spoke to Para swimmer and SDS Board Member, Laura Pilkington, and Visually impaired athlete and VI Ambassador, Samantha Gough, to learn more. Following their performance at last year’s European Goalball Club Association (EGCA) Women's Champions League, the RNC’s Women’s Goalball team has been invited to one of the sport's biggest tournaments next week.
