PEG Interviews London Singer-Songwriter:  The Sound of Modesty London Singer-songwriter Yvonne Han started creating music as ‘The Sound of Modesty’ in 2018. Known for both her candid lyrics and unique take on indie rock, she continuously blends avant-garde and modernist electronic pop elements in her music. Classically trained from a young age, Yvonne took her skills and applied them to multiple different routes within the music scene. After discovering her love for playing the drums, she delved into the indie scene alongside her peers, eventually forming an alt-indie band Once A Week Won’t Kill You. They went on to perform locally for two years before disbanding in 2019. During her time in the band, Yvonne had started developing her own exclusive songwriting style, influenced strongly by not only experimental female artists like Mitski and Bjork, but also electronic pop artists like Egoist and T.a.T.u, and furthermore crossing over with softer pop such as Sleeping At Last and Regina Spektor. PEG: Interviews NYC Shoegaze Band The Foxfires The Foxfires are a Shoegaze band from the NYC metro area who formed in 2013. Since forming, the band has cultivated their own unique sound and subgenre called Seagaze, combining the psychedelic nature of shoegaze, the energy and dance of pop-rock and post-punk, and the oceanic ambience of surf rock with a positive message. The Foxfires’ music and messages stem from Bruce Lee’s adaptability, fluidity, and positivity. The Foxfires have performed over 450 shows across the East Coast, South, and Midwest and released five singles, two EPs, and one full length record. Their most recent release, a double single, Don’t Give Up/Choose Love, garnered positive press from Paste, Impose, Patch, and many others. The Foxfires released three new singles called the Brooklandia trilogy between February and May 2019 with producer, Jesse Cannon, in Brooklyn. PEG Interviews UK Singer Songwriter Regina Fae Regina Fae is a singer songwriter that mixes folk, country, classical and pop styles in her music. Growing up, she was classically trained in the violin and performed as part of a youth string orchestra. She taught herself how to play the guitar at the age of 19 and at 20 she released her debut studio album ‘Castle’. She has been performing live in Egham, Andover and Salisbury for two years.  Fae publicly came out as lesbian in 2020 with the release of her most recent single ‘Kaleidoscope’, written about her experience as part of the LGBT+ community. As well as making music, Fae is currently studying towards an MA in Medieval Studies at Royal Holloway University of London.
